Video Transcript for Review of Kwikee RV Battery Accessories - Battery Tray - LC366357

Ellen : Hey everyone. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com and we're going to be taking a quick look at the Kwikee RV battery tray. So this is a nice spot to stash your batteries underneath your RV in one of those storage compartments, would still be able to get in there and have access to them. So if you need to change them out or do any maintenance, you can without having to reach inside there and really get cramped and really not be able to see what's going on. So it's going to come with a strap and then these two brackets to help you mount it in place. Those brackets can go on the bottom to help give a little bit more strength to that attachment point.

So if your compartment area is maybe not as strong as you need it to be, that can be that reinforcement point. It does not come with any hardware. So it is something you'll have to pick up on your own. You'll need some carriage bolts to fit into those holes, but I'll go with that in just a minute with you. Let's take a closer look at this tray and make sure that it's the right fit for your application. It is going to be made out of a sturdy steel construction.

Again, you can see we have that strap. It's just going to hook into the holes on either side. It's probably easier to get this in place whenever it's open. It'll just stash in there and then you can adjust that to keep your battery from bouncing up or going around. Then our two brackets.

So these are going to go long ways underneath there. That's how the holes will match up, so lengthwise underneath your tray. I'm going to set all that stuff to the side so we can take a look at this and get some measurements. So to open it up, we'll have these two little handles on either side. You're going to just lift up on the outside edge and that's going to lift it out of this little notch on the side there. So you do that on both sides, there we go.

And then we can roll that out. This rolls really nice and easy. It's on some roller bearings or ball bearings so it makes it have a really nice smooth action. The weight capacity for this tray is 130 pounds. So it should be plenty of weight to hold our batteries and then still be able to roll out, no problem. So as promised, give you some measurements here. Going from the outermost edge, which is going to be those little latches on either side, we've got about 16 and 1/8 inch for the width, and then going from the furthest out point to the back it's 13 inches. And then it measures two and a half inches tall. The tray itself, the actual tray measures about 14 and a half inches wide, but there's some little rivets down here that will take up a bit of space. Each one is about an eighth of an inch so you're really looking at more like 14 and 1/4 inch for the width. If we go from those rivets to the other side. And then front to back, same thing, there's a rivet for each of those handles to lift up and pivot on. So it's closer to right at 12 inches. So 14 and a quarter by 12 inches. And then just for fun, the depth here is right about two inches. This one's between the mounting holes roughly is about 13 inches by.Let me get this back in place. 13 inches by 9 inches. And if we go off of one of our brackets here, you'll need a carriage bolt that's about five sixteenth or about a quarter inch. That's how big that square hole is in that plate. This is covered by a one year warranty. It is made in the USA and should be pretty easy to get installed. It does come fully assembled and it does have that nice gray rest powder coat or that gray powder coat to resist any rust or corrosion. So it should last you a long time. That's pretty much all there is to it for our look at the Kwikee RV battery tray. I hope this has been helpful in deciding if this going to be the right tray for you. We do have some other sizes available here at etrailer.com. So if you need something a little bit different, we should have you covered. Thanks for watching.
