Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at this Kwikee RV battery tray. Now, this battery tray is going to slide out of your RV or camper so you can replace, switch out or disconnect your batteries without having to reach into your dirty or cramped battery or cargo compartment. Now at the front here you see we have these two safety latches that are going to lock the tray in the stowed position to prevent it from sliding open during travel. The roller bearings are gonna help the tray glide more smoothly than ball bearings.
I'm gonna go ahead and secure this back into place. Obviously, this is going to operate a whole lot more smoothly when you have this mounted. But as you can see, the latches have locked back into place and so that tray is going to stay in place. You're not gonna have to worry about it sliding open. Now, this does have a strap here.
It's about 33 1/4 inches long. It's adjustable. It's gonna tighten over your battery to keep it firmly in place. And each end of the strap have these hooks and the hooks are just going to hook right into the openings here on the inside of the tray. Now, this does feature a durable steel construction with black rust-resistant powder coat finish.
This has a weight capacity of about 130 pounds. And just to give you some overall measurements that I took before our time together. Looking at the overall width from end to end, we're sitting at about 15 31/8ths inches wide. Looking at the overall length or depth about 13 inches. The overall height about 2 1/2 inches.
The interior tray dimensions is going to be right at about 14 inches wide, 12 1/8th inches long, and then about 2 inches tall. This is going to be an easy bolt-on installation into your battery or storage compartment. I do wanna point out that hardware is not included. So, that is something that you would have to source locally. (tray whooshing) But I think that's gonna wrap up our real quick look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Installed this in a storage compartment of a trailer. Works perfectly. No sag, no sway, smooth roller action. Very well designed battery tray. We have another build coming up and will be using this again.
I would attach pic but its aerospace related. It passed inspection no questions asked. Customer pulled it out and asked about our wiring. Worked so well it went completely unnoticed.
Our camper came with a double battery compartment, but servicing the batteries was a painful chore since each battery had to be lifted out of the compartment. The Kwikee Battery Tray fit into the small compartment allowing us the simply pull out the batteries to service them.
Installation was easy and took less than 30 minutes. The tray is designed to allow installation without having to take the tray apart.
During installation we discovered that the battery strap had not shipped with the tray. With on quick call to etrailer, a replacement strap was in the mail.

Received order today - order fulfillment was very prompt. Packing was skimpy (lots of open box space) but product appears to have arrived intact. I will be removing the old one next week and installing this one.

Battery tray is working out very well. Got a replacement strap, it fell apart within a few months. Didnt really need the strap.
