Shane: Hey everyone, Shane here with etrailer.com. Today we're going to be taking a look at the Furrion charging dock. This is going to be designed for your LIT wireless speakers. These are available in black or white. You can find those here at etrailer. But what's nice about this is let's say we bought the kit for the two speakers and we're looking for a charging dock that we can mount in our motor home, camper or somewhere like that.

It's 12 volts, so we wire directly to our battery into our ground and it provides a charge and a dock for the wireless speaker. And you may be asking yourself, "Can I use a speaker while it's charging" The answer is yes, you can. And they charge a little bit slower, but you can use it.Now a lot of your new campers and RVs are coming equipped with a lot of Furrion stuff. Some of them even have these docking station or charging stations in them already. And it seems like people may be getting frustrated because their camper is coming pre-prepped with this and they had to go out and buy this speaker to get it to work.

And I get your point, but a main thing to look at here is a lot of your campers and RVs that have speakers on them, you're going to use them at the campsite. Having this speaker being wireless . say you have a golf cart, or you have a side-by-side or maybe you ride bikes, you can take this speaker with you on a trail, on the road, somewhere. When you get back, you hook it up to your dock station.Another nice feature with this is it's going to have two USB ports. So if you want to hook up a cell phone and charge it, maybe you want to hook up a tablet or something like that, that USB has a USB cable.

It gives you two ports here that allows you to do that. It's going to be a nice durable plastic construction. You'll notice the two pins here. That is what charges. It makes contact with the back of the speaker and that's what allows it to charge the speaker.

It's got two hooks. So it has to be mounted in an upright position. And on the back of the speaker itself, they have openings and you basically, once you get those lined up, slide the speaker down and it holds it in place.Now there is a couple of different ways you can mount this. It is going to come with the hardware and the caps to go over the screws if you're wanting to screw it into the wall. Our customer didn't want it actually mounted or screwed into the wall. So what we did is we used hook and loop fastener on the back of it and it holds it in there very well. Or you can use some very durable or strong double-sided tape and stick it on the wall the same way. That way if for some reason you may not like it in that place, you want to change places, you don't have holes in the wall that you have to try to cover up.So what I really like about this charging dock is being able to mount it in a camper or RV. Say we're out riding on the trail or something, we have our speaker hooked up to the front of our bike. We don't have to get back, look for the cord to dig out. We can take it, slap it right on the charger and it's ready to go. It's going to charge your speaker within three hours or less. And it's only going to draw one amp.The installation is very easy. It's going to have two wires on it. It going to be your power and your ground. It will need a fuse holder. When you're wiring directly to the battery you want to make sure it's fused. You would find different fuse holders here at etrailer. It does not come with it. Again with only drawing one amp, it can be a mini fuse holder with a small five amp fuse would be good enough for it.With that being said, that's going to do it for our look at the Furrion LIT wireless speaker charging dock.
