Ellen: Hey everyone. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com and today we're taking a look at the quickie RV battery tray. This is going to be the spot where you're going to load in your RV batteries so that you can have them at an easy distance or easy to access spot.We'll have our little detent there to keep that tray in place. But then if we lift up on the side of our little handles, we can roll this tray out, do any maintenance to our RV batteries, switch them out or maybe clear off some corrosion over time and things like that. So it makes getting into wire things up and do that maintenance a lot easier than having to reach back into that compartment and not be able to see what you're doing or feel what you're doing. So it makes life a little easier inaudible 00:00:48 respect.Let me give you some measurements towards the end of the video so you can make sure that this is going to be the right fit for you.
As far as the construction of our tray, it is going to be fully assembled.It makes it pretty easy just to drop it in place for the install. You don't have to worry about putting any of this stuff together, it's already assembled for you. It's a powder coated steel construction, so it's going to be very durable and resistant to any kind of rust or corrosion. As far as the sides here, there is going to be a roller ball bearing, it's going to make it nice and easy to slide in and out.Now for the measurements, the most exciting part, all the numbers. It's going to be about 16 inches wide for the outside edge of those rollers and just eyeballing it, but it looks like it's right at 16 inches across.
Front to back our tray is also about 16 inches.With the hardware here you'll want to give yourself about 16 and a quarter inch at least. Then the overall height is about three and a quarter. The inside measurements for the tray itself, so it can actually load in there. It's about 14 and three eight across and then about 14 and a quarter front to back and the height of that or depth of that tray is about two and a half inches.Now you can purchase a strap to go with this or some attachment points on the sides and also on the front and back of our tray so you can have a nice easy attachment point for the heel strap to keep things nice and secure in the tray itself.The mounting hardware is going to go to those square holes. We'll have four of those.
It does not come with any hardware for that, you have to pick that up on your own. The distance between those mounting holes, center to center is about 12 inches by about nine inches.I hope this video has been helpful in deciding if this is going to be the right tray for you. The weight capacity for this tray is going to be 200 pounds. The interior of the tray measures 14-1/4" x 14-3/8".Perfect replacement. Doesn’t glide as easily as anticipated. Perhaps it will improve with use.
Have not installed the product yet, but it seems to be well made and sturdy. I will be using it to hold two Trojan T-105 batteries, and should simplify battery maintenance because the area where they are installed is rather tight.
This is my 3rd purchase at etrailer.com. and I can say they are a model of how online e-commerce should be done.
