Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a brief look at this Hollywood Racks Replacement Foam Pad. Now this is going to replace one foam pad for the long or short sliding hook on your Hollywood Rack Sport Rider Bike Carrier. On your screen, I went ahead and included all the model numbers of that bike carrier that this foam pad is going to fit. And as you know, this does prevent the sliding hook on your bike carrier from scratching the paint on your bike.
And so if you have one of those model numbers of that bike carrier, you can proceed with confidence knowing that this is going to fit that hook. And just to give you the further confidence this is going to work for you, let me just show you the overall length here. As you can see we're sitting right at nine and a half inches long. And then the width, we are a little over an inch, let's call it at about one and 1/8 inches. And then that center hole diameter is gonna be right at about 5/8 of an inch.
And this is the direct replacement from Hollywood Racks. So what that means for you is you can proceed with confidence knowing that this is going to fit right in place of that original that you're needing to replace, whether somehow that got misplaced or damaged. You're not gonna have to worry about compatibility issues, fitment issues or anything like that. So if you are needing to replace one foam pad for the long or short sliding hook on your Hollywood Rack Sport Rider Bike Carrier, this is going to be just what you need. It worked perfectly on my Thule Double Bike Rack!!! Spray some hair spray on the shaft and caress the darn thing on with a double hand twisty motion little by little until finished!
Exact replacement - looks brand new again. It's just very hard to slip into place. Make sure you lubricate the inside of the tube before you try inserting it in place. It is very difficult to remove once in place.
Just what i needed
It does the job great. However, only temporarily does it do its job. When pressing down on mountain bike with steep and wide top-tubes, the foam slowly gets damaged. After a period of use the foam tears then exposes the metal on the rack which will do serious damage to paint work and carbon fiber. This would be less of a hassle if they were less expensive, but in my opinion I paid too much for some foam tubes.

Ive wondered about this myself....I asked my Hollywood Racks representative about this, and was told that if the foam padding on the hooks is getting torn up, it indicates that the hooks are being pushed down too firmly on the bike frame. The hooks only need to be pushed down far enough to keep the bike from hopping out of the wheel hoops, and no further than that.
Worked great. The inside diameter was smaller than the old ones (it was a different rack but the size seemed right) and it took a little liquid soap, but after it was a better fit than the original.
Perfect replacement for my Curt bike rack that is similar to the Hollywood bike rack.
I bought these to go into my Thule platform bike rack. The original foam that was on the books was ripped. Even though these were not made for this rack, they worked great.
I ordered a trailer hitch for my 2014 Kia Sorento. The video and instructions were perfect in helping make the installation real easy. Great product and great price. Had the order in just two days. This foam was a direct replacement on my bike rack. I had ordered the smaller diameter and they didn't fit. No sense in returning those since the shipping would almost be the same as I paid for the parts. The new 5/8 foam pieces slid right onto the hooks with a little help from WD 40.
Hollywood rack is good however the hooks for the bicycles need work to hold them in place as they ruin the paint on the bicycles.
The product was as described and was an exact replacement for my bike rack. The foam is dense enough to keep from wearing through yet soft enough to keep the bike tight and secure.
The product was exactly as advertised. It arrived quickly and I received a series of status updates from etrailer.com along the way. I would highly recommend them and use them again without hesitation and they are a small business that provides top customer service and support for its products.

The product quality was good but it was too big for the bike rack I have although it did work for what I needed. This was the only site I was able to find this product on.

Even though I bought this for the Thule Double Track rack, it fit, looks and works perfectly as the original Thule pad. I knew it was a gamble to try it but it paid off.
Product was exactly what i needed and service was impeccable.

Happy to find foam replacement. Putting them on was a breeze. One of the foam started splitting with minimal utilization. Maybe it was stretched out too tight or something. I purchased 2 and the other foam pad is holding strong without splitting.
