Hi, there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a quick look at this Firestone Five Gallon Air Tank. Now, this is going to provide a source of compressed air for your air spring system, so you can inflate your air springs much faster. This will hold five gallons of compressed air at up to 150 psi, up for maximum pressure. This does have the six half inch NPT port.
So we've got two, one on either side there, and then four in the middle. And we also have one quarter inch NPT port there on the bottom. Now, this is a steel tank with brass fittings. It is coated with an enamel on the inside and on the outside here, and so it is going to resist corrosion. It does meet the SAE J10 Standards, so it is J10 compliant.
As far as our dimensions go, this is right at 34 inches in overall length. Our diameter, if we include our half inch NPT ports on the front here, we're looking at about eight inches in diameter. And if you're considering mounting this, you can see, we have the pre-drilled holes in our leg sections there. From the center of one leg section to the center of the other, we're right at 22 inches. So, that completes our look for today.

I bought the tank to replace the one that came with my air compressor. It’s holding air with only a very minor leak that I still haven’t found, but only losing 25lbs overnight I find acceptable. The reason for the lessor stars is that it doesn’t have any ports up top and the legs are hard mounted so not easily turned and mounted. It’s working for the air reserve that I use to raise and lower a sign and my air ride seat in my van
