Michael: Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a quick look at the Extang replacement tie-down. This is going to replace the tie-down for your Extang fold 2.0 hard Tonneau covers, specifically the Series 83 covers. This is going to have both the male and female snap-ins included, so that you can buckle those together to hold down your Tonneau cover. This is adjustable, so you can adjust that length to make it tighter.It's also going to come with the connector for the male end there.
Our overall distance, this will cover from the mounting holes on the female end to where our male end is going to connect, if we extend this all the way, looking at right about 11 inches in total length. Hold this up this way so be a little bit easier for you to see. It's right about 11 inches overall.This is right at one inch thick, our strap. If you are needing a replacement Tonneau cover strap, this is going to be a great option for you. The male connector here is a metal construction and our snap pieces for our buckle are both plastic with a nice, heavy duty plastic so they should hold up well for you to make sure that your Tonneau cover is going to stay open.

It didnt fit my cover. Too large. The female end on mine is cracked and I cant seem to find one that is an exact replacement. I was hoping this would work but it didnt and the shipping cost was not worth returning it.
This was almost an exact replacement to my OEM cover. Glad I didn’t have to buy OEM replacement. Hopefully this lasts longer than the factory ones. So far, they are working as they should after 1 year.

Perfect
Perfect! I used the kit to tap into the F250's existing female to hold down my Battery Tender solar panel that keeps my winch battery happy in the bed. Great company/customer service/experience

Man this work perfect and it only took 3 minutes. I am so excited and glad I found etrailer online and anytime I needs parts I will go to them first.
New strap was a few inches too short, But I was able to use the male clip on my old strap. It all worked out.
Replaced the broken unit within minutes of receiving it. Good to have things back to 100 percent.

Excellent still doing the job that my other straps broke
My truck sits outside...uncovered....365 a year...
So here in western PA we'll get very hot summers and very cold winters.
I purchased a few extra items for my bed cover so to be covered for all year.
My replacement Tail Clamps, Tie Down buckles and Tailgate seal are all extras for the time of need.
They all came in excellent condition with prompt shipping.
It's not that I don't think the originals will last...they still look great and work fine...but...
Here near Pittsburgh sometimes it's spring, summer, fall and winter all in one day...
so we've got to be prepared.
These parts are well worth the small cost of being prepared.

A year with the replacement strap and everything works great. Winter seems to be the hardest for the plastic clip. I always make sure they are clipped in tightly to keep stress fractures from occurring.
Excellent service, fast shipping. The product was as described and is an exact fit for the one that snapped on my Toyota Tacoma tonneau cover. Recommended.

After one year of use it’s as good as new

I did not use these items for their intended use. I added them to a longer strap so that I could drive around with only the single rear panel open on the truck bed cover. They work fine for the use I devised. Thank you.

After 1 year the product is working fine. Very pleased with the purchase and quality of the product.
I needed to replace the tie down male buckle on my Undercover Ultra tonneau cover and this fit perfectly. I could not find the male part from Undercover but this Extang male buckle is exactly the same as is the strap and strap mount. The female end of the tiedown buckle is not the same but it would work, however the female Undercover buckle part is readily available, sold by itself. Very fast shipping and happy with product fit. I would purchase from Etrailer.com again.

I am completely happy about the quality of the Extang Tonneau Cover Tie-Down Strap and Buckle that i purchased. It was easy to install, and is holding up like a true champ. Love it!
Product was what I needed. I haven’t installed them but was a little disappointed when there was no hardware. Hopefully the original hardware is good still, or I can find replacements locally
