Michael: Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a quick look at the Extang replacement tie-down. This is going to replace the tie-down for your Extang fold 2.0 hard Tonneau covers, specifically the Series 83 covers. This is going to have both the male and female snap-ins included, so that you can buckle those together to hold down your Tonneau cover. This is adjustable, so you can adjust that length to make it tighter.It's also going to come with the connector for the male end there.
Our overall distance, this will cover from the mounting holes on the female end to where our male end is going to connect, if we extend this all the way, looking at right about 11 inches in total length. Hold this up this way so be a little bit easier for you to see. It's right about 11 inches overall.This is right at one inch thick, our strap. If you are needing a replacement Tonneau cover strap, this is going to be a great option for you. The male connector here is a metal construction and our snap pieces for our buckle are both plastic with a nice, heavy duty plastic so they should hold up well for you to make sure that your Tonneau cover is going to stay open.

product was ok but Way over priced!! You charged $[XX] for 1 tie down strap and I found the same product on [online vendor] 2 tie down straps for $[XX] with free shipping.
This seems to be an oem direct replacement. Everything about these straps and clips are identical to the OEM that was on the hard tonneau when new. I am very glad that I purchased from e-trailer instead of questionable suppliers on the jungle website.
New strap was a few inches too short, But I was able to use the male clip on my old strap. It all worked out.

It is close to the strap I need for my cover. It is not the exact one for a p/n 83658 Extang tonneau cover. Seems no one has this strap, well 1 place in Edmonton does. It will work, as it has the correct connector on the strap
Would have given 5 stars, but these replacement tie-downs only have the one metal support (they are exactly as pictured). My original Solid Fold tie-downs actually have two of those metal supports (each on a different panel of the tonneau cover). This replacement will work (with only one support). But since only one of my plastic snaps had broken, I ended up re-using my original straps with the new buckle assembly. Everything fits perfectly. I will purchase this again if my plastic buckle fails again.
Under promise and over deliver is always good. Product came faster than promised; however, original strap has 2 mounting points whereas this has only 1 despite indicating it was a one-for-one replacement. Perhaps I missed seeing a different item. Quality is good and I recommend this supplier.

Great produce and looks like exactly what I need. But, it is 1-2 inches short to fit properly on my Toyota hard Tonneau Cover.
Perfect! I used the kit to tap into the F250's existing female to hold down my Battery Tender solar panel that keeps my winch battery happy in the bed. Great company/customer service/experience

The part was purchased to replace the factory straps that were worn and clips that were broken after over a decade. I have an older Extang cover that is damaged but still functional, so being able to order the pair of tie-downs that are actually an improvement over my factory set was wonderful. Definitely recommend these for repair or replacement/upgrade to your OEM set.

It didnt fit my cover. Too large. The female end on mine is cracked and I cant seem to find one that is an exact replacement. I was hoping this would work but it didnt and the shipping cost was not worth returning it.

I wish that the strap had worked for you. I know this one is meant to be used with the Extang Solid Fold 2.0 hard tonneau covers [Series 83-xxx]. Do you know the brand and model number of the tonneau cover that you have?

So here in western PA we'll get very hot summers and very cold winters.
I purchased a few extra items for my bed cover so to be covered for all year.
My replacement Tail Clamps, Tie Down buckles and Tailgate seal are all extras for the time of need.
They all came in excellent condition with prompt shipping.
It's not that I don't think the originals will last...they still look great and work fine...but...
Here near Pittsburgh sometimes it's spring, summer, fall and winter all in one day...
so we've got to be prepared.
These parts are well worth the small cost of being prepared.

This was almost an exact replacement to my OEM cover. Glad I didn’t have to buy OEM replacement. Hopefully this lasts longer than the factory ones. So far, they are working as they should after 1 year.

My vehicle has the Mopar tri-fold hard bed cover for a Jeep Gladiator. I went to the local store that usually carries replacement parts. They didn't have it. A year with the replacement strap and everything works great. Winter seems to be the hardest for the plastic clip. I always make sure they are clipped in tightly to keep stress fractures from occurring.
As a result of breaking one of the straps on my bed cover, I found the exact replacement strap on ETrailer's website. Ordered it and received in a couple days. It fit perfectly. Looks just like the one that came with the bed cover.
