Fast shipping and this was an exact replcement for what was instaled on my trailer. Remember to order the nuts for the 4 studs. The old one do braked off during removal.
Ordered my parts on Tuesday... showed up on Thursday! Awesome delivery time. Read the reviews for the 7" brakes I needed to replace on my popup camper, and several folks said to make sure to order the bolts, nuts and washers - since the etrailer replacements didn't come with them. The 7" brakes DO infact come with the pressed-in bolt studs already in place, the only thing extra you'll need to get would be the nuts and lock washers if you don't already have them. Installation is as simple as bolting them on and crimp connecting two wires. I'll make final adjustments to the brake controller once everything is back in place.
This brake assembly replaced my original electric brake on 2004 Fleetwood/Coleman Sedona. You need to order four nuts for the brake mounting bolts on each assembly. etrailer's service/delivery was extremely fast with the free shipping on orders over $150. I also bought the LH assembly and matching hubs for the dexter ez axle. I would definitely buy from etrailer again.
Sent me a defective brake drum assembly with NO offer of replacement! so I had to try and fix it myself. I am still not sure of it performance?

The staff at eTrailer.com are very helpful and knowledgeable - ask if you're unsure. I originally ordered through the Internet and received the wrong products - because I neglected to ask questions. The return went smooth, but I had to pay for it (my error). The next round arrived well packaged (externally), but there was thin packing tape all over the outside of the hubs and some on the inside rubbing surface of the hubs. It took some doing to get it all off. There was a little rust on the non-contact surfaces of the hub as well as on the brake housing. On the brake housing, you can see some rust in the pic. Looks like it may have been rebuilt. This doesn't seem to have any effect on its operation though. Seals, Races & Bearings are super clean and fit perfectly. I installed these brakes onto the existing '4.5 on 5' flange on a 2000 pound axle (on a 2004 Aliner LX Classic Pop-up trailer). It came with the bolts to attach to the flange, but be sure to order the adjuster grommets, lock washers and 7/16x20 fine thread nuts, since it doesn't come with them. Once I got the wiring set up properly, it works exactly as it should. I prewired the setup prior to delivery. My error was that I assumed the only wire I'd need to run was the blue (brake) wire, but there are two wires on the brake housing as you can see in the picture. Either one goes to the blue (doesn't matter which) and the other attaches to the neutral (white) wire that goes back through the trailer's main wiring harness. Simply attaching the wire to the trailer frame (ground) like I initially did as seen in the picture looked like a good clean setup and easy solution to my one-wire mistake. Unfortunately, it DID NOT WORK. The secondary (neutral) wire must be detected by the tow vehicle's brake controller. Plan ahead and buy the blue and white primary wires (20 feet of 14 or 16 gauge will work) and run them next to each other before hand. Be sure to house the wires in 'plastic split loom tubing' so they don't rub against anything and zip tie them to the frame, so they're not hanging or in the way of anything. Happy braking. :-)
These are nice pieces. I converted from hydraulic to electric. They are made in america which I appreciate. No issues installing. etrailer was helpful with helping me with correct part numbers for my applications and the swap. I appreciate their customer service, knowledge and parts provided.

Great question ! I did a seasonal maintance inspection and cleaning on my electric break axle at the end of March.All of the break Assembly look excellent.I used W D 40 and Scottsbrite to remove any light corrosion.I used 400 grit sand paper on the hubs where the shoes meet the hub surface.I will reassemble the hubs next fall when I use the trailer again for snowmobiling.

After grinding off old surge brakes, these went under my snowmobile trailer with a perfect fit. I mounted an electrical junction box 10ft back from the tongue, and that made wiring them much easier also. Last season, on a snowy trip back from up north, I was able to straighten out my sliding trailer with just a quick reach for the brake controller. I would highly recommend this product.

I purchached these brakes to convert from hydraulic surge brakes on my 1973 pop-up camper. It was a simple, bolt on conversion that took only a few hours to complete; including wiring. One week later, they performed flawlessly on the 400 mile trip to hunting camp. Thanks e-trailer for a great product and service.
The items went onto my Aspen Classic trailer fairly easy. The only glitch was that I received axel caps that were too large. Once I notified the company, I received the correct caps rather quickly and finished up the install.
These brakes are well built, but unfortunately I had to return them before trying them out. There was a large gap between the brake and the drum. The etrailer tech suggested using washers/spacers to move the brake further into the drum, but the mounting bolts on the brake were not long enough to accommodate this situation. I had to find an alternative brake with a longer mounting bolt. Otherwise, seems like a good product.
The 23-47 brakes are an excellent replacement on my 1997 Coleman Fleetwood Bayports popup camper that I am close to finishing a restoration process on. They fit perfectly! Very happy to purchase an excellent product from the fastest shipper I have ever come across. I am blown away by the professionalism with this company!

The part was exactly what I needed. Delivery was very quick, 2 work days. The price for the entire brake assembly was less than an auto parts store quoted Me for one piece of the assembly. Yes it was less expensive to buy the assembly, than to buy just the magnet. The sales clerk for the assembly was very helpful and sincere. Brakes worked great and ready to assembly. A faint odor for couple of hundred miles breaking in. Always worked well and stopped confidently even on the steepest of descents. 20% down grade going into Lake Tahoe for example. Highly recommend.
