Features to know about
Faster Setup with Custom Brackets That Minimize Drilling
Installing fifth wheel rails doesn’t have to take all day. This kit uses custom-fit brackets designed to line up with existing holes in the frame, so you won’t spend time marking and drilling new ones. That means a cleaner, quicker setup with less measuring and fewer chances to hit obstacles along the frame. The kit includes sturdy black powder coated steel brackets, base rails, and all necessary hardware for mounting.
Industry Standard Rails for Hitch Flexibility
These above-bed rails give you the freedom to use the hitch you already own or upgrade later without worrying about compatibility. The industry standard mounting points work with Demco Premier Series hitches as well as models from B&W, Curt, Draw-Tite, Hidden Hitch, Husky, Reese, and Valley. It’s a solid foundation that lets you hook up confidently no matter which brand of fifth wheel hitch you prefer.
Durable Steel Construction for Long-Lasting Strength
Built from heavy-duty, black powder coated steel, the rails and brackets resist corrosion and handle the demands of regular towing. The finish holds up to weather and road debris so your setup keeps looking good and working strong over time. With this kit’s robust design, you get dependable performance every time you tow.

8552005 Demco Custom Bracket Kit for Hijacker Premier Series Fifth Wheel Trailer Hitches
6071 Demco Bed Rails for Hijacker Premier Series Fifth Wheel Trailer Hitches
The installation instructions of the base rails were vague at best. There was a reference to a template that was not included, and each package of the hitch said nearly the same information. The beneath bed brackets would lead one to believe that they were shaped to avoid obstructions on the frame, this was not the case and in two occasions the bracket had to be trimmed in order to avoid a rivet and have the bracket lay flat on the frame. The bolts for the frame were grade 5 , however the carriage bolts had no grade marking. At no point in the instructions was it mentioned to remove the tires for the drilling, not a big deal normally, but I was away from my shop and it added another layer that I didn't come prepared for. 1336602

The product was not as pictured. I had expected the rails to include the frame brackets but it didn't. After receiving the rails the manual explicitly states that brackets are to be purchased separate. Guess I should have called to verify. 546432

Great kit for my 1997 F250 7.3. Was easy and straight forward to install. Huge thanks to Demco for already supplying a solution for sneaking the rear bolts through the frame! The rear bolts are almost impossible to get in by hand, so Demco supplied a length of wire that the bolts are threaded into, then the wire is run through the newly drilled bolt hole and the bolt is easily pulled through. 794121

See what our Experts say about this Demco 5th Wheel Hitch Rails
I actually recommend going with the Demco Premier Series Above-Bed Base Rails and Custom Installation Kit for 5th Wheel Hitches # DM8552005-71 instead of B&W.
Mainly because B&W doesn't offer just the frame brackets separately, so you'd have to buy the whole kit # BWRVR3200, and it's not custom to your vehicle so you'd do a lot of drilling into your frame.
Whereas the Demco # DM8552005-71 is a custom kit that will cut your installation time down significantly due to much less drilling,... view full answer...

The above kit is made in the U.S.A. and comes with a 5-year warranty. It is a custom kit which will reduce the amount of drilling required for installation. view full answer...
For your 1997 Ford F-350 long bed pickup (without the overload springs) the easiest 5th wheel installation kit you can use is a custom type kit. These reduce drilling and overall required installation time since they use existing holes in the frame for the rail brackets.

The RBW Lil Rocker hitch will use the industry standard base rails, so to convert your underbed system to that you will need an adapter. A Sidewinder pin box would be ideal but there isn't an air ride Sidewinder that is rated high enough for the gross trailer weight of your trailer. You do not want the pin box to have a lower capacity than what the trailer is rated for.
What you can do is use a different hitch with an air ride pin box instead of a Sidewinder. If the hitch you have now fits in industry standard above the bed rails (see picture) you can use the Demco HiJacker # DM8550034 which offers 14 inches of travel.
