Question:

I have a 2015 Highlander LE V6 3.5L, only can tow 2,000lbs versus the LE+ and XLE that can tow 5,000 lbs. I wanted to know if C13200 is the right product for me or should I be purchasing a Class II ?

Even though your 2015 Toyota Highlander LE has a 2,000 pound maximum towing capacity, you can still use a Class III trailer hitch such as # C13200. You will just be limited to the 2,000 pound capacity. The benefit of having a Class III hitch with a 2 inch receiver is that there are more accessory options available that will fit such as bike racks and cargo carriers.

If you plan on doing some towing I recommend etrailer ball mount kit # 989900. It includes 2 ball mounts, 2 balls, a hitch pin with clip, and a storage bag. But if the ball mounts included do not have the proper rise or drop to tow the trailer level, you would need a different ball mount.
