Hi I have a 2002 chevy silverado 2500hd And need the oem wiring connector and the receptacle. Can you tell me what part numbers I need or send me an invoice so I can buy it.

The OEM replacement 7-way trailer connector for the 2002 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD is the Pollak Twist-In, 7-Pole Trailer Connector, # PK11916. If you also need the wiring harness with the round connector, then you will want the Pollak Pigtail Wiring Harness, # PK11998. Unfortunately, this is not a simple plug-in style harness. You will have to splice this harness into the factory tow package wires at the back of the truck. I have attached an installation video of this harness on a 2002 Silverado for you to check out.

When splicing in a wiring harness, it is important to connect the wires by function, not by color. I recommend using a circuit tester like part # PTW2993 to test the wires on the truck before splicing in the pigtail harness. The wires on the Pollak pigtail harness are as follows

Red - Left Turn and Stop
White - Ground
Blue - Electric Brakes
Green - Right Turn and Stop
Black - Battery Charge
Brown - Running Lamps
Yellow - Backup Lamps

I have an 02, Silvarado, 2500 HD, towing a WW, 2000, 16 ft trailer for animals, enclosed steel, and has Peterson, 4 inch, round rear lights. I purchased two of your LED lights with gromets, and can not get right rear light to work. Facing from rear to front of trailer. The WW came with a two wire system, and my new LED's have the white, red, and black wires. My wires coming out of the bottom side of trailer ( they r run all wires inside covering of trailer) are a white and a red wire--I think that is correct as it was repainted. I had it working until one of my large goats broke the right rear, LED light, and when replacing, I seem to not be combining the wires correctly. I can not get it to work. I would appreciate how to wire this connection. Thanks

It looks like you have the Optronics Round # STL43RB along with the needed 3-wire pigtail. On the light, the white wire is for ground, the black wire is for tail/running lights, and the red wire is for turn/stop light. Were your old lights multi-function like this as well? How are you currently trying to hook up the lights and can you tell me what exactly isn't working (or are they not illuminating at all)?

@ChrisR Hi Chris, I finally figured the wiring out----the white and red wire coming down from the trailer side only had to use the red wire, as the white ground was tied off, and run the red wire to red and black to pigtail wires, and the white pig tail to ground on frame of trailer. It works now. I originally thought the white ground of the red/white wire coming down from trailer wall had to go to the white pig tail from rear light. The black pigtail, and red pigtail was tied together to the red wire from trailer. I guess the red or black works as power, and only had to ground the white wire to frame. Thanks
