Do you recommend using anti-seize on the trailer hitch mounting bolts?

Using anti-seize compound on the hitch mounting bolts is not necessary. Because of the lubricant properties, you'd need to lower the torque specs in order to not over tighten the bolts. You would be better off installing the bolts dry and tightening them to the torque rating mentioned in the hitch installation instructions.

Using something like a Loctite Blue Threadlocker, part # LT37643 would be a better idea. The waxy texture makes threading bolts in place easier, but gets tacky as it dries. The product protects the threaded surfaces against moisture but won't effect how you torque the bolt.
