Does etrailer Mount Wheels and Tires

Question:

If I purchase trailer tires and wheels do you mount them for me or would I need to do that after they arrive? Jimm

Hi Jimm; mounting wheels and tires is not something we are able to do. The only way to get them mounted from us is if it is listed as a wheel and tire combo. If you purchase the Dexstar Steel Mini Mod Trailer Wheel # AM20245 and Karrier ST185/80R13 # KE68KV you will have to mount it yourself or take it to a local shop.

So the closest pre-installed tires and wheels you have is the https://www.etrailer.com/Trailer-Tires-and-Wheels/Kenda/AM31990.html. As I can tell the only difference is the width of the tire from 185 to 175 which will also lower my trailer about 1/2 an inch. Gaining a quarter inch of wheel clearance. I'm putting them on a 2000 Starcraft 17CK: GVWR 3250 Dry weight is 2151 I would suspect little to no change in driveability and about 0.357 mpg better fuel economy. LOL

@Jimm you will gain 0.3" of clearance on top and 0.1" on the inside so yeah really it is a negligible difference between the two tire sizes. You are pushing the capacity assuming this is a single axle since the combined capacity of the tires will be 3,300 lbs but you probably aren't overloading the trailer since it is a boat trailer.
