When you’re putting in long miles, you need a setup that stays steady at real highway speeds. The Kenda Karrier ST175/80R13 radial tire is Load Range C with a maximum load of 1,375 lbs at 50 psi and an M speed rating of 81 mph. Its double steel belts and full nylon plies deliver durability and stability while meeting DOT specifications, so you can haul with confidence mile after mile.
Corrosion is the enemy of any trailer wheel, especially when exposed to moisture or road grime. The 13" x 5" aluminum Sendel wheel resists rust naturally, and the clear-coated matte-black finish protects both front and back surfaces from scuffs and scratches. The result is a strong, lightweight wheel that stays clean and sharp over time.
Radial construction makes a big difference on the road. The cords in this tire run at a 90-degree angle to travel, reducing friction between layers. That design cuts rolling resistance and heat buildup, giving you a smoother, quieter ride and longer tread life—especially helpful on extended hauls in hot weather.
No need to deal with mounting headaches—this tire comes pre-mounted on its wheel and is ready to install. The assembly meets DOT specifications and uses a 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern, 3.19" pilot diameter, and 0 offset for straightforward fitment. With a wheel capacity of 1,660 lbs, this combo offers balanced performance right from the start.
It’s nice knowing your investment is protected. If this tire is damaged within the first 12 months, Kenda replaces it at no charge under the included 1-year worry-free guarantee. That’s added security for every trip you take.
1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this Kenda Karrier ST175/80R13 radial trailer tire in a load range C, and it's mounted on this 13 inch black mesh aluminum wheel with the 5 on 4-1/2 inch bolt pattern. Now, this tire wheel assembly is ideal for stock trailers, utility trailers, and even campers. The wheel, we mentioned, it is a Sendel Series T17 aluminum wheel and it's a mesh style design wheel that has a matte black finish to it. The front and even the back of the wheel are all clear coated for protection. Now if you notice, the wheel does not come with a center cap.
If you do want a center cap, we do sell those separate on a website. You do wanna make sure to get a center cap that'll have the same diameter as this pilot hole of the wheel 'cause when you install your center cap, it will go through this pilot hole. The diameter on this pilot hole is 3.19 inches. Now the wheel, the diameter on the wheel is 13 inches. The width on just the wheel is five inches wide.
This wheel does have a bolt pattern of 5 on 4-1/2 inches. And if you wanna measure that on a wheel like this that has an odd number of lugs, what you'll do is pick any hole and then you're gonna measure across to either this hole or to that hole. You just pick either one. But when you measure, it's from the center of the starting hole to the furthest edge of the hole that you measure to. So on this wheel, it'll measure 4-1/2 inches.
So it's a five-lug 4-1/2 inch hole pattern. This wheel does use a lug size of a half inch by 20, and the weight capacity on just the wheel is 1,660 pounds. Now, the tire that's mounted on this wheel, it is a Kenda Karrier special trailer radial tire. The special trailer design will couple with strength of a bias tire with the durability and stability of a radial tire. And it is created specifically for trailers, so it's not intended for use on other vehicles.
Does use double steel belts and full nylon plies which combine for superior function and long life. And if you look at the tread, it has a nice computer-generated tread design and it uses premium rubber compound materials to give you superior traction in wet or dry conditions. The tire size, which will be stamped on the sidewall, right here, you'll see ST for special trailer 175/80R13. The R means that it is a radial tire. The section width on this tire is 6.8 inches. Overall diameter from the bottom to the top where it's inflated is 24 inches. And we mentioned this is a load range C tire, which is a six ply rated tire. Has a maximum load capacity of 1,375 pounds at 50 PSI. And one last thing I do wanna mention is most all your new trailer tires will come through with a speed rating on it and they stamp it on the sidewall, but they stamp it with a letter designation. So right after the size we went over, you'll see two numbers for the load index and then there's a letter M. Speed rating M will mean this has an 81 mile per hour speed rating. And this whole assembly does meet the DOT Department of Transportation specifications. But that's gonna do it for the review on this Kenda Karrier ST175/80R13 radial trailer tire in the load range C mounted on this 13 inch black mesh aluminum wheel.

It has been one year since purchasing these wheels and tires.
Product originally arrived as described and on schedule.
Mounted on a 4,000lb single axle Toy Hauler.
So far, have towed about 10,000 miles without incident.
Stable and consistent. So far, all good.
The process was not pleasant. Shipping took much longer than originally quoted. Don’t believe the shipping dates that are provided. They are not accurate and customer service doesn’t care about you once you have placed your order.
I bought a smoker trailer and after looking at the tires I found that they were rated for 500 lbs each without a spare. Etrailer had the resources to determine what I needed and then gave me options for what I wanted. Fresh wheels and tires provided the safety I needed. Thank you.
Exactly what I needed and quick deliver y.
