I need to replace the motor and gear box on. FIC3500-2 is it worth it or replace the hole jack

Hey Jim, thanks for reaching out!

It's better just to replace the whole jack out with the Electric Jack w/ Footplate # EJ-3520-BBX. In all of my research for the FIC3500-2 jack there are a lot of unknowns and assumptions out there so it's best to just get something that is easier to get replacement parts for and is just more common in general.
