Sway Control Recommendation For A Toyota Tacoma Towing A Pop-Up Trailer
Question:
I have a pop up camper and I want to control the sway. When I’m pulling it with my Toyota Tacoma, I can feel it drift a little from side to side. It’s not that much. I just don’t want something to happen drastic. The camper trailer hitch has a small ball on the side. I wish I could send a picture. What do I need to attach to the trailer hitch on the camper to control the sway.

The ball you're referencing on your trailer tongue is most likely the one that would come with a friction sway control bar like the Curt Friction Sway Control for Weight Distribution Systems # 17200. I'm assuming you most likely don't experience a lot of sag since you're towing a pop-up so a simply friction sway control bar would most likely be the solution you need without overdoing it.
The # 17200 comes with the tab to weld onto your ball mount for the sway control to connect to but if you'd rather just get one that already has it you can use the Curt Ball Mount w/ Sway Control Tab for 2" Hitches # D320 along with a 2" ball like # EH68C-C. If you end up needing a larger drop let me know and we can explore other options to get you the perfect setup.
