What is Initial Brake Adjustment Process of Redarc Tow Pro Liberty Brake Controller
Updated 06/01/2021 | Published 05/27/2021 >
Question:
How do you do the initial calibration on this? Im used to hitting the manual lock on the Tekonsha and adjusting until the brakes are starting to lock up, then back off a bit. If the override on the liberty is only partial voltage, how do you do initial setup? What is the return policy if I end up just not liking the lack of control that Im used to.

The calibration or adjustment process of the Tow Pro Liberty part # RED24FR isn't quite the same as the standard brake controllers like you mentioned. Basically Redarc recommends a more vague process of starting with a low output and then ramping up the output until the desired amount of braking pressure is achieved with your vehicle braking. This is section 3.1 in the install manual I have linked to this page.
I have linked the return policy page for you to check out as well.
