Question:

I have a winch purchased from Sears about 1991. The markings on the side plate state: T1801 trailer winch, 1800 pounds maximum line pull. This winch is mounted on the side of my crank-up tower which is used for emergency communications and recently came down in a wind storm/micro-burst. I think it was made by Fulton but there are no other markings on it. Pictures I found show model T1801-0101 and T1801-0301 that appear identical to the eye. The SPRING on the side of the pawl, connected to the bottom pointed side of the mounting frame has rusted out and needs a replacement. I am trying to source this part as I need to get this tower back up ASAP. My Son was able to take some pictures of the winch and a partial view of the spring. I hope you can direct me to the part number that I need. I need ONLY the SPRING. Thank you so very much.

To replace the spring on your Fulton T1801 winch you can use the Replacement Spring for Fulton Winch # 4769-28.

You can also use the Ratchet Repair Kit for Fulton 2-Speed Winches # F501132 with your T1801 winch to replace the spring and the kit will allow you to have some other spare parts available in case something else malfunctions.
