Best Way to Determine Fit of Tankless Water Heater in 5th Wheel Trailer
Question:
Hi, with so many tankless HW units out now. Is there a “best” way to determine what unit will fit my 5th wheel ? It is a 2020 Sprinter Limited 3531FWDEN Thank you

Really the best way to determine the fit of a tankless water heater in your 5th wheel is by the size of the cut out you have. This is the most important thing in regards to a fit, but of course you will also need to have connections there for propane and 12 volt power, though those will already be there from your previous water heater, assuming you had a gas/12 volt heater. So what you will need to do is know the size of your cut out, and you can choose the right tankless heater that way. Here are the options we have, so your cut out will need to be able to accommodate their size.
- 13" wide x 13" tall x 17-3/4" deep: Fogatti RV Tankless Water Heater - Gas - Automatic Pilot - 41,800 Btu - White # LSB64FR or Black # LSB44FR
(Note: The Fogatti heater requires the Camco RV Water Heater Temperature and Pressure Relief Valve # CAM10423)
- 19-3/16" deep x 12-5/8" tall x 12-13/16" wide: Furrion RV Tankless Water Heater - Gas - Automatic Pilot - 60,000 BTU - 16" x 16" Door # FR98SR or 18" x 18" Door # FR68SR
I have added links below to video reviews, as well as an install of the Fogatti heater for you to check out.
