How To Wire Winch To Install On Both Back of Truck and Trailer
Question:
I need someone smarter than me to help me figure out what I need. I need to be able to power a portable winch in a cradle in two scenarios. - car hauler trailer - back hitch of a truck I think ive determined I need to install a quick connect Anderson SB350 from the winch motor and control box. From there, can I get a set of jumper cables with a connector on one end and clips on the other to attach to a stand alone battery or run to the truck/tractor/UTV battery? Do I need an isolator on any of those scenarios? Confuses the heck out of me. thanks for your help in advance.

The Bulldog Winch Rear Wiring Kit part # BDW20207 would allow you to power a winch from the back of a truck or on a car trailer no problem using the vehicle's battery. The leads attached to the quick connect would go from the winch to the battery on the vehicle. The other quick connect would then attach to the leads that come from the winch. This would allow you to move the winch from the truck to the trailer without any additional wiring. You could purchase an extra set of quick connects if you wanted to use a separate battery, the Replacement Bulldog Winch Quick-Connect Set part # BDW20018.
