Best eBike Rack For Class I 1-1/4 Hitches

Question:

Is there a bike rack that can hold 2 ebikes that weigh 60 pounds each that can be hooked to an inch and a quarter hitch on back of 2020 toyota Corolla. Not allowed to put a 2inch hitch on a Corolla apparantly.

You're in luck! There's no need for a 2" hitch if you want to carry two ebikes! I really like the Thule EasyFold XT 2 E-Bike Platform Rack # TH903202 for ebikes because it makes loading and unloading ebikes easier. It works with both a 1-1/4" and 2" hitch, has a capacity of 65lbs per bike and comes with a ramp to help load your heavy bikes. This bike rack is one of the few that we carry that is usable with a class 1 hitch. The only hitch we have for your 2020 Toyota Corolla is a class 1 and it's the Draw-Tite Sportframe Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class I - 1-1/4" Item # 24983.

You may want to grab a longer ramp to make it even easier to load and unload your ebikes. There's a longer ramp available that's 53" long part # TH933402.

Check out my review video to see the difference a longer ramp will make!

Hello, Thank you for the info. May I further inquire if the rack can take step thru ebikes with fenders without adapters? I read so many negative comments on class1 hitch being a time bomb for heavy ebikes loaded at the max capacity. Is it necessary to mount a class 2 hitch on the 2020 4 door corolla sadan so not to max out on the tongue limit (speed bumps, potholes and swerves) and offee that extra margin of safety? Tks & rgds, David
