how do you reset the break away brake on the Demco DA91

I checked the manual for the Demco DA91 actuator part # DM8759131 and if the lever is pulled it can be disengaged by using a screwdriver to lift upward on the front of the flat emergency lever spring while pulling lever forward till it releases.

It depends how long you pulled the trailer. You'll definitely want to give the brake assemblies a good visual inspection after the incident. Just look for any noticeable damage and go ahead and hook the trailer back up to test the braking like normal. Hopefully nothing happened to require any replacements or repairs.

@Kevin This is form the manual: SERVICING THE EMERGENCY LEVER (SEE PAGE 11 FOR BREAKDOWN AND REFERENCE NUMBERS) If emergency lever (#16) of actuator is applied, it can be disengaged by using a screwdriver to lift upward on front of flat emergency lever spring (#12) while pulling lever forward until released.
