The manual lockout tab on the side is a big help when you need to back up without fighting your trailer brakes. Just rotate the tab to the left before reversing, and your trailer rolls freely without brake engagement. Once you’re done, flip it back to normal and you’re ready to tow again. It’s a straightforward feature that saves a lot of hassle when maneuvering around tight spots or inclines.
The heavy-duty steel body is zinc-plated for corrosion resistance, giving it a 200-hour salt spray rating that holds up well in wet or salty environments. Inside, the composite master cylinder made of glass-reinforced nylon won’t rust or corrode like metal ones can. It’s a solid combination that keeps the actuator working smoothly over time, even when exposed to the elements.
The large fluid reservoir keeps more brake fluid on hand, cutting down on refills and helping prevent air or contamination in the system. The automotive-style diaphragm cap completely seals the fluid chamber, while the acetal copolymer lining inside ensures smooth telescoping action as braking force applies and releases. Together, these details give you reliable operation and easier maintenance.
The built-in 8” adjustable channel has three mounting positions so you can line up your preferred coupler (sold separately) for a level towing setup. It bolts onto a 3” wide channel tongue using 1/2" x 4-1/2" Grade 5 bolts (not included), making installation quick and secure. The design gives you flexibility for different coupler types without extra modification.
