Question:
How critical is the size difference for trailer hub bore and Bearing Buddies? The inside bore of my trailer hub measures 1.975. Which size do I need? Same question for grease seal the number on the grease seal that I removed reads 1.250 1.979 0.250. I could not find an exact match on your site. Thank you.

Size is the determining factor so it is very critical regarding the correct Bearing Buddies and grease seal. That said, the dimensions you gave are in line with common measurements. Measuring precisely to the thousandths of an inch can be difficult so the following parts, based on the measurements you gave, are most likely what you need.
Bearing Buddies:
- Bearing Buddy Bearing Protectors - Model 1980A-SS with Auto Check - Stainless Steel (Pair) # BB1980A-SS or Chrome Plated (Pair) # BB1980A
Grease Seal:
- Double Lip Grease Seal - ID 1.249" / OD 1.983" # 34823 (or for a pair of these you will want part # RG06-010)
I have added links to video reviews of the Bearing Buddies and grease seal for you to check out as well.
