Connecting Two 30 Pound Propane Tanks with Changeover Regulator
Question:
I just purchased a used 2016 Forest River Wildcat fifth wheel. It has 2 30#, propane tanks. One on each side of trailer. On the outlet of the one tank is a GR-630 regulator. Then the propane hose from that regulator crosses over the width of the trailer to the other tank, which has a Gas Flow Changeover, dont know model # , regulator with tank full indicator. It is a switchable tank regulator. When I switch to the tank with the GR-630 regulator, the changeover regulator shows that tank is empty and will not flow. I am thinking that the GR-630 regulator is not necessary and the output from the regulator is in WC and the Changeover regulator thinks it is empty when it is not. I think the Changeover Reg was installed by the previous owner and he did not remove the GR-630. What is the correct way to connect the 2 tanks to the Changeover Regulator? Please see pictures. Seems that I can only send 1 picture. The upload another image does not work. Thanks,

When connecting the two 30 pound propane tanks for your trailer you are correct that only the one dual changeover regulator, such as the Camco # CAM59005 is needed. The single GR-630 model regulator can just be removed and this should resolve the issue.
It sounds like the previous owner either just used the tanks independently or like you mentioned just forgot to take the GR-630 off.
