Review of MB Sturgis Propane 108220

Today we're going to take a look at the MB Sturgis 2-stage Propane Regulator. It has an 11" water column outlet and a vertical vent. This will connect your propane cylinder to the LP gas piping system. This end has the 1/4" female inverted flare inlet and on this end a 3/8" female end PT outlet and it has an 11" water column outlet. This is a vertical vent opening, you can see the vent is at the 6 o'clock position and any time you use or install this for an outdoor, this vent opening should always be vertically down. You can see with the vent in the 6 o'clock position, it makes this a vertical vent opening. This does use a high flow rate and ability to maintain 9" water column pressure at extremely high demand.

It ensures that the appliances on the coach can easily function and run a standby generator without losing gas pressure. Performs the same pressure reducing function of a single stage low pressure regulator, but does so in 2 stages. The first stage right here reduces the cylinder pressure to 10 psi, and the second stage right here reduces it to the 11" of water column pressure. Provides very even, efficient flow of gas, can also be used on high capacity barbecue grills. This does have the UL144 certification, it is designed for LP gas only, has a flow capacity of 400,000 BTU per hour and this will work in a temperature range from a -20 degrees Fahrenheit to 120 degrees Fahrenheit. That should do it for the review on the MB Sturgis 2-stage Propane Regulator with 11" water column outlet and a vertical vent..

Will this work to regulate propane (20#tank) to a Westinghouse w7500/9500 generator. What would you recommend for hose dimension and length?.

It would work for sure, both sides have female connections so you need a pigtail and a supply hose with male fittings. The length is going to be up to you and how much to want to deal with it. The three parts that come to mind are # 100473-12 # 37207-31455 # 401132-MBS . If you have any deeper questions click on the let me know.
