Recommended Keel Rollers to Replace Worn Rollers on Boat Trailer
Question:
Can you recommend a keel roller. Replaced with the photo roller and boat is impossible to launch. Will be replacing bunk carpet also that may help get boat off trailer but current roller does not seem to roll. Thanks.

Looking at the picture you attached (thank you!), it appears that the weight of your boat might be putting too much pressure on your existing keel rollers, which has caused them to wear down to the point of them not functioning like they should. I definitely recommend replacing the existing rollers because of the visible damage, but I also recommend adding a couple more rows to your trailer to support the other two keels on the boat. This will help to better disperse its weight so you don't run into this issue again.
I recommend taking a look at the CE Smith Keel Roller Assembly # CE10401G. This deep V keel roller will do a really nice job of supporting the boat's keel and absorbing road shock while you are traveling. The black rubber roller will provide long-lasting performance and the galvanized steel brackets will resist corrosion. The roller itself measures 5 inches long and has a shaft diameter of 5/8 inches. The spacing of the mounting slots are 3 inches apart, on center.
If you are still looking for replacement bunk carpet, I recommend the CE Smith Deluxe Marine-Grade Carpeting # CE11349. This is durable, weather-resistant carpet that is easy to clean. This roll will give you 18 feet of carpet that is 18 inches wide.
