Recommended Leveling Stabilizers to Reduce Bounce When Walking in Trailer
Question:
Walking back and forth in our trailer while parked causes some bouncing. The electric stabilizers dont help a lot to reduce this annoying bounce. I could purchase some stabilizing jack stands or could I purchase heavier springs to reduce the bounce. Of course the goal is to reduce bounce and not to increase the capacity of my 3500# axles. Also wouldnt this help in stability during towing. The trailer is a 2013 Coachmen Liberty Express Freedom Edition 292BHDS. All four 4 leaf springs were replaced last year by the dealer.

It sounds like your leaf springs are not the issue and changing your springs to a higher capacity could cause a rougher ride when traveling. The bounce or sway has to do with how you set your stabilizer legs and it sounds like they are not supporting enough weight. If you still experience an annoying amount of movement after you add additional load to your stabilizer legs, then you should add additional stabilizers. If you have a slide out, this is really common and you can add a stabilizer to just that slide out to assist.
I recommend the Leveling Scissor Jack Set # JSC-24 for more stability or # UF19-960003 for slide-out stability. I've attached videos to assist.
