Towing a 2010 Ford Focus Automatic Behind and RV
Question:
I have a 2010 Ford Focus w/automatic transmission. Will this base plate fit? I see it says standard transmission, can I modify something if it is so?

Expert Reply:
The reason that the base plates for the 2010 Ford Focus exclude models with the automatic transmission is because Ford states in the manual that models with the automatic transmission cannot be flat towed. They have to either be on a dolly such as # RM-2050-1 or be placed on a car trailer. I have included some links to videos on the tow dollies for you.
