Question:
Hello! Can you tell me what the differences are between the 24x60 Curt Cargo Carrier for 2inch Hitches - Steel - Folding - 500 lbs item #C18151 and the 24x60 Curt Cargo Carrier for 2inch Hitches - Steel - Folding - 500 lbs item #C18153? I am purchasing a Honda CR-V, and will be looking for a hitch-mounted cargo basket for it. These two look great - but what is the difference? Thank you!

Expert Reply:
Both of the Curt hitch-mount folding cargo carriers # C18151 and (Discontinued) C18153 fit in a 2-inch hitch and offer a 500-lb loaded cargo weight capacity.
The primary differences are the carriers' weights and the type of shank on the carriers. Part # C18151 has a shipping weight of 58-lbs while the (Discontinued) C18153 has a 70-lb shipping weight due to slightly beefier construction. It also has an angled shank that provides 2-inches of additional ground clearance, which is a good thing if you have to pull into a steep driveway.
You can refer to the two linked review videos for more on these Curt products.
