Tire Recommendation for a Coleman Taos Pop Up with 13 inch Wheels

Question:

Were about to take a long trip west 10,000 miles round trip with a Coleman Taos popup 2003. It needs new tires. Can you make a recommendation for that? Several discussion threads seem to point towards something like this but Im not sure if there is a speed rating or anything to be concerned with. Any advice would be appreciated. AM3S331

You didn't list your tire size, but if you have a 185/80D13 like the part # AM3S331 that you mentioned I have a better recommendation I can make.

You would be better served with the part # TTWTRTM1758013C as it is a radial tire that has an 81 mph speed rating (most have a 65 mph rating) and is a radial which is a better tire setup than a bias-ply like the tire you mentioned.

A radial tire flexes more than a bias tire, giving it better ground contact, traction, stability, and tread wear.

A radial tire will normally run cooler than a bias ply tire, especially when the tire is under a load. A tire that runs cooler will last longer.
