Will a Capture Plate on a 5th Wheel Trailer Pin Box Get in the Way of Using a Tripod 19-950001
Question:
I have a customer who asked whether the stabilizer would work for his capture plate because the set screw is right up against the king pin. The way he described it, it seems that the cup on the stabilizer would hit the set screw and not align flush with the bottom of the capture plate. Your thoughts?

Expert Reply:
Your customer is correct. The capture plate (must be a PullRite SuperGlide hitch) would get in the way of a 5th wheel king pin tripod. Presumably though they would only be using this for more long term use and could remove the capture plate or just back off the set screw enough to use the tripod.
