Haven't had chance to use this yet. ordering and shipping were excellent and easy. Only problem and believe it was installer fault was getting gap pieces to stay in when closing door. need to make sure that it is tight to screen defender and upper bar, or plastic filler piece will fall out when closing door.

Poor direction on install, the slats dont stay in place to fill the gap.
This is a "must" if you have dogs and have a trailer or a 5th wheel.Our puppy tore our screen door to shreds.This defender is perfect to have in place of just a screen to have on the door. If you have small children this can be a safety feature too. Very well made, easy to install. Perfect!

The screen defender arrived a day earlier than expected, the shipping box was not damaged but the screen defender was rattling around inside the box like a bean in a mason jar! When I opened the shipping box the screen defender itself was packaged quite nicely by the manufacturer and had zero damage! My door measures 29” and some change wide and like the instructions said to round up the next whole number, 30”, it fits like a glove and comes with enough gap fillers to fill up the empty space. I put my filler pieces on top so that my 3 dachshunds can see out of the bottom while the wife and I are outside grilling. The construction is very good and fits perfectly. There is only 1 con: the filler pieces fall off either on top or on the bottom after about 3 closures of the door, The Fix: put double sided tape on the “L” side of the gap fillers to prevent this from happening. Thank you for the fast service and look forward to the next DIY on my rig which should be disc brakes for my 2019 Vilano 370GB.
Screen door defender fit the screen door as expected on our 5th wheel camper. Determining the size to order was sketchy using the "edge to edge" directions provided by Lippert (even after reading the installation instructions and watching the video before I ordered). I ended up calling Lippert and they told me to measure between the main door opening (not the screen door) and then round up. The inside dimension on our 30" main door opening was 29 1/2", so I ordered the 30" screen protector. The extrusions provided were not cut straight and one end was torn, but fortunately they were wider than they should have been so I just shaved the plastic with a utility knife to shorten them so that the tabs on the bottom of the protector fit into the screen door frame fully. The tear at one end of the larger extrusion wasn't the full width (the tear is about an inch long) didn't affect the fit when sliding the smaller extrusion into it. Based on all of that it took longer to install than it should have but overall satisfied with the product.
Have ordered 2 of these screens, two different sizes for my Cruiser MPG 27', entry doors. Because they are different widths. One screen came w/a broken plastic "tab" on the bottom other came w/ a busted spring inside the locking latch. Did not bother to return them, just fixed them myself. Bottom plastic spacers were a challenge to fit. Overall I think Lippert could do better!!! Though sometimes NOT Lipperts fault but by handlers in the shipping industry (UPS,Fed Ex, Amazon) when we consumers receive product!!!
It was a perfect fit for our screen door of our 5th wheel. We have a Lab puppy and don't want our screen ruined.

The screen defender arrived in good shape. We plan to put it to use in warmer weather when traveling with the dog. It fits nicely although the solid pieces to fill the gap are a little tricky to fit and get in. I think it would have been easier if the temperature was warmer than 40 degrees and there was less wind.

This was exactly what I was looking for. Super easy to install. The directions were spot on but again, it was easy to follow and attach to the screen door.
The screen is built nice, but the Plastic Gap filler was rough cut (Wasn't real Square) and didn't fill the gap side to side in width very well. With a little work and some ingenuity some folks have made "tabs" out of the This spacer and glued them in place so they fit in the Screen Door slots. It makes it so that that the bottom plastic pieces will stay in place if the door slams or gets bumped. Since they are hand-built .... the dimensions vary on both the doors and Screen Defenders from Lippert. Probably best to get your measurements, and then find a place to go look at the product in person to verify it fits securely and properly.
