Where Does a Brake Controller Install on a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500
Question:
where is the factory plug for electric brakes location under dash on my 2001 dodge ram. i believe i found it but its plugged into the back of the e-brake. is this the plug im looking for an if so do i just unplug it from the e-brake?

The correct adapter to install the Brake Controller part # 39510 you referenced in your 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 is the part # 3020-P.
This adapter plugs into the 4-pin connector on your vehicle's built-in brake control wiring harness. The harness is located underneath the dash, to the left of the steering column, taped to another harness near the emergency brake pedal.
