Brake Controller Plug Location on 2004 Ford Explorer w/ Factory Tow Package
Question:
I have a 2004 ford explorer V8 and i cant find where the brake controller plugs in under the dash I have a right hand drive as Im in Australia can you help me . when I brought the car it came with a harness just for doing this with instructions but when i look for the plug under the dash where the instructions says it should be ..its not there...all the plugs under there are all ready plunged in

In US left hand drive models, the connector for the brake controller is located behind the glove box, as you can see in the install video I've linked for you. We've had no experience with Australian market Explorers, but if the plug is not located there, check by the emergency brake pedal or above where the driver's left knee would be which are all common locations to find the plug. The plug will be gray in color.
