Question:
I have a pr. of ST205/75D15C load star K550 tires on my Utility trailer. They are 11 yrs. old, have very few miles on them, look brand new. The trailer has been garage kept. I need to take the trailer on a 225 mile road trip with a 1500 lb. load. Will these tires hold up/be safe? Will they blow out or fly apart? Ive had some high dollar ST225/15 trailer tires on my RV blow out after just 3 yrs. of age Dry Rot they said

Even when stored in the somewhat controlled environment of a garage, tires are still subject to dry rot and flat spotting. Even if the tire tread has plenty of depth left and you can't see any cracking with the naked eye, the generally accepted rule of thumb states that trailer tires should be replaced after about 6 or 7 years. Yours are about twice that age.
I'd highly recommend you replace the tires. I'd recommend going with a 205/75R-15 tires in load range C like part # TTWTRTM2057515C. Radial tires do a better job of shedding heat and generally have better ride quality than bias-ply tires.
I've linked you to a helpful Trailer Tire FAQ article.

I have a 1982 scamp 13’ travel trailer. The are 4 lug and are mounted with 155 80 13 tires dated 2014. I put 1-2,000 miles annually on them and they still look new. Spare has never been used. They are covered seasonally and the trailer is always stored on stands to prevent flat spots from developing. The only thing I’m worried about is the age. Should I replace now?
