Installation Tools Needed for Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution System Part # BXW1001
Question:
I just purchased this after receiving many recommendations to use your site and experts. my question is in regards to installation. My system will use a bolt on application to the trailer itself. Will i need to drill into my trailer tongue? The rep noted the BXW1000 was a clamp. I just need to make sure i have the proper tools when it arrives on Friday. Installing the BXW1001 on a 2013 Keystone Cougar 28RBS Tow vehicle is 2013 F-150

Thanks for your recent purchase!
The Blue Ox weight distribution system # BXW1001 that you purchased will require drilling.
The tools you will need are as follows: Torque wrench, drill, large vise grips, tape measure, 1/2 inch drill bit 3/4 socket and wrench and 1-1/16 and 1-1/8 inch sockets.
The Blue Ox SwayPro system # BXW1000 is a clamp-on system as the rep explained and it will not require any drilling. It's much easier to install than the bolt on.
I included a helpful article about weight distribution for you too.
