Thule Professional Ladder Rack Tilt Installation - Video

Thule Professional Ladder Rack Tilt Installation

This works with the professional series ladder rack. To install the ladder tilt, what we have to do is disassemble a couple parts of the rack thats on your vehicle. What happens here is this rubber strip gets taken off and these ladder holders get taken off, they get replaced by the ladder tilt. The next piece that has to come off only temporarily is the end cap. We put this back on when we install the ladder tilt. This is the completed ladder tilt, it slides onto the track. This one rides on the top track and this one rides with a special bolt on the side track, then it just slides into place. Once its in place we can put our end cap back on. Then this whole assembly gets slid all the way to the end. You have a little adjustment left or right obviously. Start at the end and tighten down these bolts here. When youre finished with this one, repeat the process for the other rack. more

Thule Professional Ladder Rack Awning Review - Video

Thule Professional Ladder Rack Awning Review

This is a professional awning that goes with the professional series ladder racks for your trucks. This awning is great for providing shade anywhere on the work site, and possibly for some tailgating activities. Aside from those two, you could possibly use it in some sporting events, if you have to sell tickets or stuff like that, it is great little place to do it under. Now we will show you how it works. To extend the awning, there is a hand crank that you install onto the drivers side of the truck and it goes in there you twist it and pull it down, it then falls into place and you can uncrank the awning. To extend this what you do is extend it out to about a foot and a half to two feet, and then we down the legs. If you do this on concrete or on a somewhat slick surface, you may want an extra set of hands since the feet could slide on the bottom. If you were on the dirt the feet will not go anywhere. The legs simply pop out and come down. more

TracRac G2 Sliding Truck Bed Ladder Rack Review - Video

TracRac G2 Sliding Truck Bed Ladder Rack Review

Today were going to take a quick overview of the Tracrac G2 slider Inaudible 00:00:09 rack system with cantilever over the cab extension part number ta21000-02-02. This kit is made up of 3 components, the base rail system that sits along the top of your truck bed, the fighter G2 racks and finally the cantilever extension that goes over the cab of the truck. On top of the base rails, we have our uprights and crossbars that will attach to the base rails and will slide along. To slide the track and reposition it, all we have to do is loosen the hand knobs and the uprights and crossbar slide right along our rails, that way we can set it at whatever spread we need to for whatever ladders or materials were hauling. Once you get your position all you have to do is tighten down the hand knobs and youre ready do go. On each of the 4 uprights, youll find this large tie down where there is enough space where you can hook it ratchet straps or you can rope to help you secure whatever load youre carrying. more

Bestop BestRail Sliding Ladder Rack Installation - Video

Bestop BestRail Sliding Ladder Rack Installation

Today, on this 2004 F-250 Super Duty, we will be installing the Bestop Bestrail overhead rack part number B42730-791. We are going to start by assembling the components of the overhead rack system. The first thing we are going to assemble is the legs to the front bracket both left and right. We are going to start with the front left bracket first. We are going to take one of the legs and you can see we have four existing holes here in the left bracket. You want to take one of the legs and you will notice that one end has a flat edge to it, the other end is actually angled. We want the angled side to be down here attaching to the bracket and we want the lower edge in towards the bottom of the bracket here where it will flare up towards the inside of the truck bed here. What we want to do is just align the holes here in the leg with the holes in the bracket. Over here on the side holes we are going to be using the 1/4-20 by 3 1/4 inch flat head screws along with a flat washer and nut. On the inboard side holes, we are going to be using the 1/4-20 by 2 ΒΌ inch screws along with a flat washer and nut. And we want to repeat that procedure for the front right bracket as well. 1:38 more

Thule Professional Ladder Tilt Review - Video

Thule Professional Ladder Tilt Review

Well show you how this works, you just open up the latch and give it a gentle pull towards you which will bring the rack down. This is the strap that hold the ladder in place and keeps it from going anywhere. It simply works like a ratchet mechanism. Also on this assembly are the ladder stops and theyre infinitely adjustable across the whole rack as well as the ratchet strap. Lets go ahead and put a ladder on there and show you how it works. To lock everything back into place, you simply slide the latch back over. Just to let you know what you get for this part number, this system includes two aluminum tilting arm assemblies, one pair of adjusting ladder holders, four powder coated aluminum adjustable load stops and the hardware to install this on your existing Thule rack. There you have it for part number 339, the ladder tilt from Thule. more

Thule Professional Ladder Rack Awning Assembly - Video

Thule Professional Ladder Rack Awning Assembly

This awning mounts onto Thules professional series load bars Also, this awning can be installed on Thules other line of load bars. Before we mount this on our bars theres a few little things we have to do. First off we have to install the T-nuts that go into the track at the bottom, and then we install the caps to close them off. There will be four T-nuts that go in each track. Next we add this cap to the other side. Next we need to install the clamps that hold the awning to the load bars, thats a simple strap right here. We will put a couple of bolts in and hold them loosely in place and slide this whole assemble onto the load bars. And then our next step would be to go ahead and get an extra pair of hands and we will go ahead and mount the awning on top of the bars themselves. Once you get the awning situated the way you want it on your load bars, then go ahead and clamp them down into place. We need to make one technical note here, this awning is specified for three load bars, instead of the two shown here. Chances are this is probably going to be used on a van more than it is on a pickup truck bed but everything still applies to that application. That covers it for part # TH326. more
