This is a gas strut that's gonna replace one lift support arm on the hatch of your 2009 through 2019 Dodge Journey. The arm will extend to hold your hatch open and that will gently compress while closing and so that you're not gonna have to worry about smashing your fingers and that sort of thing. It does have the nylon ball socket connectors on each end that's going to install directly onto your existing OEM fittings, so very simple to get installed.
