Hey there neighbor, it's Kevin with etrailer and today we're gonna be taking a closer look at Cummins Onan 4,000 watt generator here on our 2022 Thor Motor Coach Coleman Edition, Class C Motor Home. All right, so right off the bat, just looking at how this is actually mounted up in here. So if you we inchesre in need of replacement, say you've ran through the lifespan of your generator here. Looks like for this specific setup, they just have these brackets holding up our generator and it's bracketed to these and if you look in the corners you can see the actual hardware going up into the body of our motor home. So I'd say the best course of action to actually get this outta here and replace it would be to have some sort of lifting device, whether it's a floor jack or some other sort of jack to actually support that weight. Take those four bolts out, you could drop this down and then kind of slide it out. more

Hey there, neighbors, Kevin here at etrailer, and today we're gonna be taking a closer look at the Cummins Onan 5,500 watt generator here on our 2021 Jayco Precept Class A Motorhome. Now when it comes to replacement, if you're looking to swap yours out, maybe you've outlived its lifespan and you're ready to get a new one put in there so that way you can go back out on your boondocking trips and not have to worry about any kind of solar set up just to maintain the power consumption that you're gonna be using, what you're gonna wanna do is look at your model number. So now a lot of these, they kind of drop off over time because there are slight variances that they make in these models just as different regulations roll out. So there is three different options that you can go with. Now with this one, it has two 30-amp circuit breakers right here. So to go along with that, we have an option that's gonna come with two 30-amp circuit breakers, and it's gonna still run on that gasoline and be 5,500 watts. more

Hey there neighbors, Kevin a with etrailer and today we're gonna be taking a closer look at the general fit, a few maintenance items, and then the start of our Cummins Onan RV Generator here on our 2023 Thor Magnitude Class C Motorhome. So one thing that might be a just overall issue with this, is just there's only about 3 to 4" between the top of our generator and the ceiling here for our little cubby. And the oil fill port and coolant fill port are kind of blocked, especially by the def inlet here. So you wouldn't really be able to get in there with a hard tubed canister of any kind. So you really have to have a flexible hose to get in there or some kind of fuel pump to actually pump that up into it and fill up your tanks there. So that could add a little bit more to your maintenance on this because you are supposed to be doing different kinds of maintenance depending on the amount of usage. more

In-Depth Review of the A-iPower 2,000-Watt Portable Inverter Generator- Video
Randy: Hey, guys, Randy here at etrailer.com. We spent the last little bit doing some pretty thorough testing on the A-iPower 2000 starting watt, 1600 watt inverter style generator, but we wanted to go over some of what we found just to give you an idea of what these generators are designed to do and where they're going to work best for you. Now, what we've done is basically connected our generator to this RV, and we've put it through a litany of tests. We've tried to run the air conditioners, the microwaves, coffee pots, blow dryers. Those tend to have the highest draw, but also cellphone chargers, refrigerators, TVs and things like that, and running them all in conjunction, and basically what we have found is that for all of your appliances, let's say a blow dryer, or your microwave, or your coffee pot, it's a great generator to have.If you try to start a 15,000 BTU air conditioner with it, just going to overload it. It's not meant to handle that kind of load, even on the 13,500 BTU air conditioner, we tested the single on that, it's a no-go. more

Hey, guys, today we're going to be checking out the AI powered 9000 watt generator. Now, this is a conventional generator, it features an electric start. Let's go ahead and fire it up and see what it sounds like.So if you can see it's a fairly loud generator, but it's going to be great to use out of your camper, at the job site or even in the most intense situation. I'm going to go ahead and plug it in my camper and we'll head inside.While it is running I'm able to power up my entire RV. With this type of generator it's going to give me enough power to handle those larger appliances. It's a lot more powerful than those inverter generators, but it's extremely loud as you may be able to hear. more
