Draw-Tite Tested Tough

Draw-Tite Tested Tough

Draw-Tite's Tested Tough program provides testing standards far superior to those outlined by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), the go-to source for engineering professionals.

Each Draw-Tite trailer hitch receiver undergoes extensive fatigue testing and static testing with the ball mount that is either supplied or recommended for use with that particular hitch, thus ensuring results that are applicable to real life use. Fatigue testing is also conducted on hitches rated for use with weight-distribution systems.

In addition, Draw-Tite performs static testing on a simulated automobile, as opposed to the rigid fixture used for SAE testing, resulting in a more true-to-life scenario.

GMC

I purchased this for my 1966 GMC 1000 (basically a shortbed C10). The fit was perfect and even worked with my fuel cell bolted right above it, with just slight modifications to the cell. Design is very heavy duty and I have towed several heavy loads with the truck without any problems. Thank you for the nice product.

  • Correct Trailer Hitch for a 1972 Chevy C10/K10 Stepside
Are you asking if the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 75034 will fit your 1972 Chevy C10/K10 Stepside? If so then yes, this trailer hitch is a confirmed fit according to Draw-Tite. I checked with them for you to confirm. Please note you will need to have the standard step bumper in order for the receiver tube to clear but there won't be any issues with the stepside bed. I have attached a photo for you of this hitch installed on a similar 1966 Chevy C10 fleetside for reference.

  • Where Does Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Mount on 1966 Ford F-100 Frame
The Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch # 75034 actually mounts to the underside of the 1966 Ford F-100 frame so since it looks like your gas tank is completely inside the frame you'll be able to mount the trailer hitch. I took a trip out to the warehouse for a few different dimensions I thought you might like since it looks like you're doing some modifications. The crosstube of the trailer hitch sits roughly 2-3/4" below where it mounts to the frame and then the closest edge of the crosstube...

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch Receiver for a 1984 Chevrolet C-10
We have a few different trailer hitch receivers that will fit your 1984 Chevrolet C-10 with the 8' bed and standard step bumper which I have attached for you but I recommend the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 75034 as it is a custom fit. This is also the most cost effective option we currently have for you. It has a 2" receiver tube opening and a 8,000 lb towing capacity.

The distance from the frame to the top of the receiver tube opening is 5-5/8" which will allow you to determine how far under the rear bumper the receiver tube will sit. In regards to exhaust...

  • Trailer Hitch Recommendation for a 1970 Chevy C10 with Step Bumper
The Class III hitch for your 1970 Chevrolet C/K Stepside truck would be the Draw-Tite Class III 2-Inch Hitch, part # 75034. • Availability of a Trailer Hitch For a 1966 Ford F-100
We do have hitches available for your truck (see link) but none of them are designed to fit behind the tag (license plate). At this time I do not know of a Hidden or Stealth hitch that is available for your truck. For a trailer hitch that would sit below the rear bumper, I recommend looking at the Draw-Tite Class III Trailer Hitch, # 75034. This hitch will fit as long as you have the standard or step bumper. If you have a deep drop bumper, then you will want part # 41504.

  • Recommended Hitch for Light Duty Towing w/ 1965 Chevy C10 Pickup
As long as your C10 has the stock bumper, we do indeed have some hitches that would be available. Since you're not going to be towing anything super-heavy, I'd recommend the Draw-Tite Class III hitch, part # 75034. For trailer wiring, use # 18252 that will tap directly into the wiring harnesses feeding your rear taillight assemblies. I've also linked you to a listing of some other accessories compatible with a 1965 Chevy C10.

Since your truck has a 34 inch trailer frame that usually means it is a cab and chassis truck. • Trailer Hitch for a 1987 Chevy V10 Pickup Step Side Short Bed with Sport Bumper
Your 1987 Chevy C/K pickup, V10, is the 1/2 ton 4x4 model. The standard suspension on it was not the heavy duty suspension. The rear gross axle capacity would have to be rated at 6,000 pounds for the HD suspension which was an option for the V20. The spacer blocks are # 01077-011 and they are sold individually. I am not sure what the Sport bumper looks like so I had to look it up. It is not a standard/step bumper so if that is truly the case then hitch # 75034 would not fit properly....

Yes, check out the Draw Tite hitch part # 75034. This has been confirmed to fit your 1985 C10 with a 6 foot bed and step side. Since you have a 6 foot bed you will also need the spacer block part # 01077-011. For trailer wiring you would want part # 18252. For ball mounts I recommend the etrailer Ball Mount Kit # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts, 2 balls, a hitch pin with clip, and a carrying bag.

The hitch does not fit models that have heavy duty suspension but I do not believe that the 1971 C10 had the heavy duty suspension. • Recommended Hitch for a 1966 Chevrolet C/K Series Pickup
The reason the hitch fit guide asks about a bumper is because it will make a difference on where the hitch receiver sits in relation to the truck's frame. With a standard bumper, the hitch will sit a little higher off the ground and closer to the truck's frame. With a drop bumper, it will require more space between the mounting location and the hitch receiver to fit under the bumper. The bumper is not required for installation though. One option for your 1966 Chevrolet C/K Series Pickup,...
