Magnetic LED Tow Lights

A towed vehicle is required by law to have functional brake and signal lights that illuminate at the same time as the brake and signal lights on the motorhome or RV that is towing it. These removable tow lights make it easy to add running lights, brake lights, and turn signals to your towed car or trailer.

Simply mount the lights on your vehicle's trunk or roof with the heavy-duty magnetic bases. A 63" long section of wiring connects the tow lights, giving you enough slack to position the lights where you want them. Then run the 245" long wiring harness up to the front of your towed vehicle and across your tow bar and connect it to the 4-way flat on your RV.

If your RV doesn't have a trailer connector, then you can wire the extra 35" long 4-way harness that comes with this kit to your RV. And if your RV has a 6-way or 7-way trailer connector, an adapter (sold separately) will be required to connect the tow lights to your RV.

Sonically Sealed, Waterproof Trailer Light

The waterproof construction of this light makes it ideal for use on trailers that may be submerged, like a boat trailer. The housing and lens are sonically sealed together to create a single unit, which means that water will not get into the light and damage the diodes or circuit board.

The wiring length should be increased by at least five feet. We have a small vehicle and still needed to use an extension. Otherwise it is a terrific solution.

Have not used yet but I think it will be great

by:

Bought these magnetic trailer lights for my hitch-mounted e-bike rack. With two bikes on the rack, the rear car lights are partly obscured. These lights attach firmly to the rack with the magnets but I will secure them with straps as the rack surface is rounded. Plenty bright. Haven’t gone any distance yet, but I will drive reassured that the cars behind will better see my braking and turning.

These work fine and are bright. I plant them behind my toad's roof rack and add a little duck tape for security. I have lost other ones before. It may be overkill on these as magnet is good.

I've seen magnetic tow lights before but not like these LED's. As soon as they arrived I opened them up, checked them out and they are very well built, the magnets seem very firm and they are BRIGHT. The video on the ETrailer site does no represent how bright these light are in my opinion. Very pleased with the quality and how visible these lights are.

Great product, just as described. I am using it on my kayak trailer to replace the original incadescent lights.

  • Will Optronics LED Magnetic Tow Lights Protect Against Scratching 2018 Ford Fiesta SE Paint?
The Optronics Magnetic LED Tow Light Kit - Weatherproof - Red Lens - 20' Wiring Harness - Qty 2 # TLL21RK has a protective label pad on the bottom to keep from scratching paint. You can see this at the 2 minute mark of the attached review video. I do recommend wiping down the vehicle with a microfiber cloth before putting the lights on simply to remove any dust or debris that could be abrasive between the scratch free label and the paint for added security.

  • Do Vehicle Taillights Need to Function If Vehicle is Towed with Tow Dolly
Generally, you don't need additional lighting when using a tow dolly that already has lights. However, it's not a bad idea to check with the local laws in the states you'll be traveling in. If you do need to have lights on the vehicle you could use the magnetic LED tow light kit part # TLL21RK and to add a 4-way to your tow vehicle's wiring you would want the part # 18252 which would wire into the current trailer wiring.

  • Which Tow Bar Light Kit for Flat-Towing 2011GMC Acadia
The RoadMaster Bulb and Socket Set for Tail Light Wiring Kits, part # RM-155-2, is not compatible with your Acadia lighting system. These incandescent bulbs will not fit in your tail light housing due to the presence of the circuit board that powers the Acadia's LED lights. Also, they would generate much more heat than the specified LED bulbs and might interfere with the nearby circuitry. If you will be towing your vehicle only on occasion, you may want to consider a magnetic towing light...

This product is also made from durable polycarbonate, and is sonically sealed to waterproof the lens and housing from weather damage.

It sounds like you have most of what you need to flat tow your 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee. To flat-tow any vehicle you need base plates, tow bar, safety cables, wiring for lights, and braking system. The base plate you have is the Roadmaster XL, Item # 1528-3. • Parts Needed to Flat Tow a 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee
Since you are only going to tow the vehicle once I recommend renting a vehicle trailer at the same time you rent the truck. I can advise you of all the parts you will need to flat tow the vehicle but honestly since it is a one time deal, the best option for you is to just tow it on a trailer. To flat tow the vehicle you would first check the owners manual to make sure your model can be flat towed and to check on any special requirements. You would have to have base plates, a tow bar, safety...

  • What Lighting Requirements Are Needed When Dolly towing a 2013 Acura TL?
I recommend first checking with the local laws where you will be towing your 2013 Acura TL. The tail lights on a Tow Dolly # DM9713045 are often the only lights which are required. If this is the case you will only need an Adapter # 337TC2074P to go from the 7-way on the motorhome to the 4-way flat on the trailer. If you require additional lighting I recommend adding the Magnetic LED Tow Light Kit # TLL21RK. This is a great option as you do not have to wire anything with your lights....
