2001 Hyundai Elantra - Roadmaster Standard Magnetic Tow Lights

  • Removable Tail Light Kit
  • Bypasses Vehicle Wiring
  • Magnetic Mount
  • Universal
  • Roadmaster

Avoid tapping into your towed Hyundai Veloster's electrical system by using these self-contained tow lights. Heavy-duty magnets keep lights securely in place on your towed car.

Features:

  • Allows you to legally tow your car without having to tap into its wiring
  • Eliminates risk of electrical damage to towed car
  • Attaches securely with magnets
  • Connects directly to motor home wiring, bypassing towed GMC C/K Series Pickup completely
  • Has heavy-duty vinyl casing for superior protection of wiring
  • Meets Department of Transportation standards
  • Fits all GMC C/K Series Pickups
  • Includes 2 lights and wiring harness with 4-pole flat trailer connector
  • Length of wire:
    • Wire that connects the lights: 53-1/2"
    • Wire that extends out the back of the light: 243"
    • Wire with 4-pole connector: 35-1/2"
  • Limited Lifetime Warranty

The law requires that all towed cars have functional signal and brake lights in sync with the RV towing them. Most wiring kits require you to splice into your GMC C/K Series Pickup's electrical system, but doing this can void your manufacturer's warranty. Magnetic tow lights avoid this problem by having the wiring run underneath your car and plug into your power source.

These lights have worked flawlessly for the whole 2023 camping season on my RV towed vehicle. I mount them on the rear of the roof so they are nice and high above bicycles on a hitch mounted rack.

by:

Extremely happy with the tow bar wiring. Not one problem for the year!

by:
Jeep

They were shipped fast and arrived quickly. These are quality lights with very strong magnets. I installed them on my Jeep in no time after making some steel brackets for the tubular aluminum bumper. Would be nice to have 5 or 6 magnetic clips to place along the wire to secure it to the vehicle. I highly recommend these lights.

by:
2005 Subaru Forester

I like these lights, nice strong magets hold them securely to car roof. I use them because my bikes in bags cover my tail lights. I added LED bulbs because when I tow the car with my RV these additional lights put to much load causing voltage drop and dim lights.

These lights are still working well only improvement I could suggest is if they could somehow maybe put up plastic layer between the magnets and the roof because they’re taking paint off, if they could still make the magnet is strong.

Jeep Wrangler

I purchased the Curt Tow Bar with Adjustable-Width Arms - Car Mount - 2" Ball - 5,000 lbs. initially I was Leary of the product because of its low price compared to other tow bars. I now can say my concerns were needless because after flat towing my Wrangler over 5,000 trouble-free miles I have nothing negative but only positives to report. The best thing I like about the tow At is that it only takes 5 minutes to attach and unhook.

by:

Good light set. Works perfectly and has held up well.

by:
2010 Chevrolet Silverado

Everything was delivered on time and worked perfectly. This solved my concerns about towing my car with my RV with a car dolly.

by:

Heavy duty magnets gave me the security of knowing they wouldn’t come off. Very easy to install!

by:

Fast delivery. Did a test as soon as I received the light kit. Flawless. Magnets very strong but safe for car finish.

by:

I did a mock-up set-up and this kit works as advertised.
Magnetic bases are strong, it should fit my needs perfectly.

by:

  • What Parts are Needed to Tow Jeep with the RoadMaster StowMaster Car-Mounted Tow Bar w/ Lunette Ring
Other than the Tow Bar, you would need the wiring so that the lights on your Wrangler would work in tandem with the lights on the tow vehicle, and the vehicle-specific base plates that would attach to the Wrangler. The base plates provide an attachment point for the quick disconnect bracket on the Tow Bar. For the wiring, there are three different methods that can be used. The simplest way to go would be to use the magnetic mount light kit, part # RM-2120. This kit has the benefit of...

  • What Base Plates and Wiring are Needed for Towing a 1993 Subaru Impreza
Yes, the RoadMaster XL kit, part # 909-1, will fit your 1993 Subaru Impreza. There are two methods for setting up lights on a towed vehicle. You can use temporary kits, usually magnetic, that will add a light fixture to the car. These kits are favored by those that do not want to do the wiring otherwise involved. Custer Magnetic Tow Light Kit, part # RM-2120 is our best selling magnetic kit. I have added a link to all of them below. If you would prefer to hard-wire the Impreza, you would...

  • Will the Blue Ox Aventa II Tow Bar Fit on Blue OX BX3503 Base Plates
Yes. The Blue Ox Aventa II tow bar will work with the Blue Ox Base Plates # BX3503 without any issues on your 1992 Geo Tracker. You may also need a lighting solution for this new setup on your Tracker, so if you need lights also, the Roadmaster Standard Magnetic Towing Lights # RM-2120 are an easy to install choice that won't break the bank. A complete flat towing setup will consist of a tow bar, base plates, safety cables, tow bar lighting, supplemental braking and possibly a high/low...

For your 1996 Cherokee, you will need Roadmaster Base Plate Kit # 1418-1. If your tow bar does not already have a quick disconnect base assembly, part # 910021-00 would work great for you. You will need to wire your Cherokee for towing. If you were not planning on towing the vehicle frequently, a magnetic mounted light kit like part # RM-2120 would work well for you. If a more permanent solution is desired, a diode kit like part # 38955 would work best. Also recommended are safety cables...

  • Lighting Requirements to Flat Tow a 1992 Jeep Wrangler Behind an RV Using Invisi-Brake System
To install the Invisi-Brake system # RM-8700 in your 1992 Jeep Wrangler there is only one special item needed and that depends on the lighting system being used. If you choose to use a 4-diode lighting kit such as # RM-154 then you will also need to install brake light relay # RM-88400 to prevent the Jeep's turn signal from overriding the signal from the RV. The simplest solution is to use a light kit that bypasses the Jeep wiring. If you use a lighting kit that bypasses the Jeep wiring...

The best place to look for flat-tow compatibility is in your owner's manual but I do show certain models of a 2003 Ford F-150 being flat-towable. The Roadmaster Crossbar-Style Base Plate Kit part # 492-1 (2WD Only, No Harley Davidson, Lightning, or STX) is what I recommend for a base plate and this will work well with a tow bar like the Roadmaster StowMaster Tow Bar part # RM-501. Then for the lighting you can use the Roadmaster Standard Magnetic Tow Lights part # RM-2120. I have attached...

We do have tow bar wiring options, but I checked with Blue Ox for you, and the wiring kit you mentioned is not a fit for your 2020 Chevy Blazer, as it's only for certain model years of some Jeeps. There isn't a plug-and-play wiring kit for your '20 Blazer, though for hassle-free lights you can use magnetic lights, the Roadmaster Standard Magnetic Tow Lights # RM-2120. The fines are steep so you are better off getting one not to mention it really is the safest approach. We can save you money in other areas of a flat towing set up to offset the cost of a braking system. First you will need base plates for the 2014 Ford Focus. I would actually advise against using Tow Ready tow bar # 63180 for a couple of reasons. First, this tow bar is rated for a maximum of 45 miles per hour which is fine for short hops around town but useless for highway use. And second there are base plates required, # 40602, but they are going to require major modifications to the bumper and need to be reinforced so professional installation is recommended.
