TST Tire Inflation and Repair - TPMS - TST-507-RV-4-C Review

Today we're gonna take a look at the TST Tire Pressure Monitoring System for your RV with this full color display and the four tire sensors. Now this TPMS kit will let you monitor your RV's tire pressure and temperature with the included full color LCD display unit. It is designed to work great with your motor home, 5th wheeler, or trailer. It does offer a full color widescreen display, which will provide early warning detection with visual and audible alerts.I just wanted to show it. We're gonna zoom in here. And then we're gonna go ahead and turn it on, so you can see the full color on it.

Then you can see it flips right to the . It shows the PSI and the temperature. And then again to set all the settings you just hold the set button. And then when it beeps then you can just hit the plus or minus to go from setting to setting. I'm just gonna turn it back off and turn it back on just to show you the color again. Now this will detect blow outs, significant pressure changes, and tire temperatures exceeding 158 degrees.

They do refresh automatically with new tire information every five minutes. The pressure as you can record are either PSI or bar. Temperature is Celsius or Fahrenheit. We'll zoom back out here. Now the sensors that are used with this are right here. It comes with four sensors.

It'll check the tire pressure and the temperature. They are brass construction. They are designed for use on rubber, steel, chrome, or nickel valve stems. I happened to pull a rubber valve stem here just to show you how the sensor will work. They install very easily onto the tire's valve stems.

Basically what you do is just get them started. You gotta twist the bottom here because the cap will rotate, so you twist that bottom to get it started. And then once you get it started then it snugs up. Now it's snug. You'll take this included cap wrench here. This has a theft resistant cover on it, so what happens is to tighten this on here you take this cap wrench, get it on to the . There you go. And then just finish, tighten this up. Tighten until it seals and then you snug it a little bit more. And then once you do that and take the wrench off that keeps anybody from just walking by thinking they can just unscrew these and take them off because the cover will just spin. And then to remove it just take your cap wrench again, loosen it, and once you get it loose then just go ahead and turn it the rest of the way off. So, very easy to install. And if you notice they give you this little bag here and it includes extra screws, washers, and O rings. The battery is in this sensor here, so if you ever have to replace the battery in any of the sensors you can. There's three screws here that you remove. Take it off. Take off some washers and O ring, and then they give you new ones if you put a new battery in there. The monitoring capacity on this with the included sensors is for four tires. Now you can purchase additional sensors. We do sell them separately. This display monitor will monitor up to 38 tires, and that sounds like a lot, but if you think about it what you can end up doing is putting some on your RV, some on your motor home. They just can be on everything, and then you can just move your monitor from each vehicle around. It does include these display mounts which will allow for optimal positioning. It has this easy to use suction mount for windshield or dashboard mounting. All it does is hook onto the back. Now you can suction it down. It has multiple angles up or down that you can set it in. And if that one doesn't work for you they also offer this cradle mount for a flat surface. You just set it down on the flat surface. Put your display in there and it'll hold it into place. Now this kit also offers a repeater. This repeater will strengthen and amplify the sensor signal forward to the display. It eliminates electronic interference. Right here is a red light. When it's all hooked up this red light will illuminate when it's working. This whole unit is waterproof. It can be mounted inside or outside. It does mount with these included screws, or the hook and loop fastener. It does also include this micro USB cable and the adapter included for charging with your vehicle's 12 volt outlet. You just plug this into your 12 volt power. Put your USB in there. Plug this into your unit and it'll charge your display.A few specs on this monitor. The run time is five to seven days on a full charge. Battery recharge time is about four hours. Screen dimension is gonna be right at 3 1/4" wide by 1 5/8" just on the screen. The dimension overall on the unit is gonna be right at 4 1/2" wide. To the top of the antenna 3" tall and 1" deep. Now the tire sensors. I'm just gonna go ahead and turn that off. The four tire sensors here, pressure range on those is 0 PSI to 196 PSI. Operating temperature range is -40 degrees Fahrenheit to 176 degrees Fahrenheit. Storage temperature range is -40 degrees Fahrenheit to 185 degrees Fahrenheit.Battery life on these sensors is about one to one and a half years. The nice thing about them as I mentioned earlier, they have a replaceable battery in them. It uses a battery Part Number CR1632. Again, you just remove the three screws. Take the O ring and washer apart. Put your new battery in and again they give you some new screws, O rings, and washers.Dimension on the sensor itself, diameter is right at about 1 1/8" wide by about 1 1/8" long. The repeater is gonna be about 2 1/2" tall, 3" wide, and about 5/8" of an inch deep. It does come with a nice Owner's Manual to describe how to operate it, how to hook it all up. But that should do it for the review on the TST Tire Pressure Monitoring System for the RVs with the full color display and the four tire sensors.
