Lippert Components RV Fresh Water - Water Pump - LC689052 Review

Jeff: Hello everybody. This is Jeff at Today we're going to take a look at this Flomax 12 volt RV Freshwater Pump. It has a three gallon per minute flow. Now this is a nice motorized water pump. That'll provide a consistent flow of freshwater to your RV or camper.

And it can be used as a direct replacement for any OEM RV or marine pump. This one is a self priming design. So it eliminates air binding by removing any air from the pipeline. And the unit is capable of up to six feet vertical priming and 30 feet horizontal prime. It is a nice heavy duty corrosion resistant motor.

It has ball-bearings for a nice long life. Provides very quiet disturbance free operation. And it can run dry without causing damage. It does use an integrated thermal breaker. Protects the motor from overheating.

And the breaker automatically resets when the temperature drops. It does use an internal check valve. Prevents any backflow contamination of your clean water supply. And if you notice it does include this strainer that you can install into it. It stops the bugs and debris from entering the pump. The feet are the base when it's installed.

They are rubber, so they are very flexible. Helps reduce any excessive vibration and noise. And it does use an enclosed housing with sealed switches. That'll block moisture from getting in. It does have a nice electric coating finish on it. Resists the effects of rain and other elements. And it is a bolt on installation in any position. Now the hardware to install it is not included. If you look right up here. They have the half inch diameter hose fittings at the inlet and outlet ports. It features a nice tapered seal for watertight connection. And it does include these two swivel high pressure fittings like we'll install. It is a two wire configuration. The black wire. You pull your wires right out here. The black wire is your negative lead for the ground. And your red is your positive lead. Now a 15 amp switch and a 15 amp fuse are required for this. They are not included. And this is freeze and thaw tested up to five, two hour cycles. It is NSF and CSA certified. Few specs on this again. The voltage is 12 volts DC maximum power draw of 9.5 amps. The flow we mentioned is three gallons per minute. Pressure setting. Average pressure setting is 45 PSI. Shutoff pressure is 50 PSI. Runtime for this is five minutes on 10 minutes off. And maximum water temperature of 140 degrees Fahrenheit. Last thing I want to do is just give you some measurements on this.Overall dimension from this end all the way to this end. It's going to be right at eight inches long. The width from here to right here. That's going to be five and a quarter inches wide. And the total height to the tallest point is five inches tall. Now the rubber mounting base that we talked about right down here. The mounting holes, if we measure those center to center. The length is right at two and thirteen sixteenths of an inch. And the width is right at three and a quarter inches for the mounting holes. But that should do it for the review. On this Flomax 12 volt RV, Freshwater Pump with the three gallon per minute flow.
