Question:

2005 Chevrolet Express 2500 Cargo 4.8L I want to buy the Prodigy RF but my current vehicle does not have the ...the # 4 terminal in a 7-Way RV connector have a constant 12 volt power source...inch wired. Attached is the fuse block under the hood. Can you suggest how to best go about installing this?

A very few Express vans that had the factory installed 7-way had the 12-volt circuit ran already. If your van was equipped like this, you might need to install or replace a fuse to activate the circuit. Check the fuses in position 13 and 50 in the fuse box under the hood. Both fuses are listed as 'Trailer' in the owner's manual, but no further description is provided.

If you van wasn't equipped this way, in order to have an active 12-volt accessory circuit on your 7-way, you'll need to run a length of 10 gauge wire, part # 10-1-1 from the terminal for that pin at the rear of the 7-way to the positive battery terminal via a 40 amp circuit breaker, like part # 9510. When you run the wire to the front of the vehicle, follow an existing wiring harness if possible. Be sure to avoid anything moving like steering or suspension components or anything hot like the exhaust system.
