Question:

I am looking for a way to extend the hitch on my 2014 ram 2500. I have a 2013 Keystone fuzion fz300 toy hauler . Not sure if i can use a hitch extender to get some more room when turning, or if the extender wont carry the load . The hitch for the truck is 2 1/2 inch the hitch setup for the truck is 2

We do have hitch extenders that will fit your 2-1/2 inch trailer hitch on your 2014 Ram 2500. I recommend # RP45292. It can be left in the 34 inch long length or cut down to the 24 inch length.

At the 34 inch length it is rated for 4,500 pounds gross trailer weight or 6,000 pounds when using weight distribution.

At the 24 inch length it is rated for 6,000 pounds gross trailer weight or 8,000 pounds when using weight distribution.

Using a reducer sleeve to go down to a 2 inch receiver likely reduces the capacity of the trailer hitch. You would need to check with the hitch manufacturer. If it doesn't then using an extension such as # BX88265 would work.
