Will Curt Roof Mount Cargo Basket Fit a 2000 Jeep Cherokee and Can it Be Locked

Question:

Anyway I could have it secured and locked to my car so that nobody can take it off. Any key or lock that goes with it? Also will it go with my 2000 Jeep Cherokee? Thanks….

The Curt cargo basket # C18115 does not have a locking feature but you could use something as simple as the Rightline cable lock # RL100640 or a larger cable lock such as # e98891.

To determine if the basket will fit your 2000 Jeep Cherokee you will need to take some measurements of the roof rack crossbars. The basket will fit on bars that are up to 3 inches wide and 1-5/8 inches tall. And the center to center distance from one bar to the other has to be 15 inches, 22 inches, or 29 inches.
