Hey Joseph.

The part you mentioned # GCSQ-25008 is not offered with a single set screw and should not be used with just one. However, this is a comparable replacement for your Bulldog BD0289600300 with a 25,000lb capacity and an 8" height adjustment. Now, there is something worth looking at that has only one set screw, the # GCSQTW-30008. This one has a lesser vertical adjustment (6") and a top mounted hand crank instead of the manual slide you're used to. Both of these are complete weld on assemblies that include the inner and outer tube assemblies. I do recommend ensuring that there is enough clearance to operate the crank if you choose the # GCSQTW-30008.

Are you looking for more clearance or ease of adjustment?

I would like the replacement to have the same amount of adjustment as the original and the top mounted hand crank is not needed

@JosephS In that case, your best bet is the # GCSQ-25008 with the two set screws. What makes a single set screw preferable for you?

@TrentG 2 set screws cause fitment issues
