Parts Needed to Flat Tow 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee with Blue Ox Tow Bar

Question:
I’m buying a 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited. I already tow a 2016 GMC Terrain, using a blue ox system and Patriot 3 braking system. What do I need to get my Grand Cherokee set up with my existing tow bar and can my Patriot 3 transfer?

Hey Mike, all you'd need is the Blue Ox base plate part # e98950 which is directly compatible with your Blue Ox tow bar and you'd be set. Your Patriot is also compatible with your vehicle as-is but do you have a lighting solution already for the taillights of the Grand Cherokee?

Thanks No, I would need that also. Plus I read there’s a potential issue with running down the battery in the Jeep; is there a cutoff switch or another solution I should be considering?
